OK - thanks for that! If filming is finished, I guess that's why the stuff about Joe and the parrot was suddenly all over the news - weeks after it had happened. If he was more free to give an interview? I did think it was odd. Not long now, really. Excited for it all!

Hi all,
probably get this all the time but wondering if anyone knows how to get in contact with Shane Meadows or his agent. I'm a huge fan and recently done some extra work on `This is England '86`. Shane wasn't there that day (I wouldn't have bugged him out of respect anyway, would have been really busy). I work freelance and was hoping to do an interview with him (even if it's over e-mail) for the pre-release of `This is England '86`. It would hopefully be published in a well known Sheffield magazine that is released on a monthly basis. I believe most of the filming was done in Sheffield, the part I was in was! Any help would be great and don't hesitate to e-mail me personally, thanks guys! (kcheatley@hotmail.com)

Nice one for sharing the pictures Thribb, show is coming on now, cant wait till it is on tv. Questions that do ponder my mind are, is Shane going to do his famous "hichcockian" cameos we have come to love as Lord Shane. I dont recall him doing it for This is England. And why has there been a name change? Is the series going to be called We Were Faces, personally i prefer this title, it has a natural progression from This is England title. This is England 86 sounds like it has been given this title for stupid people to realise its a sequal to This is England. What does everyone else think?

I think it has been settled on This Is England '86 because of the instant recognition it will provide (for those who don't follow news about Shane). As for the Meadows cameo in This Is England.... there was one, but it was cut from the final edit (yet I remained in the final edit.... crazy! ;D ). The scene is on the DVD. Shane is a dealer in a block of flats and seems to be Milky's source of weed.

Woah! Some good pics there, but there's one of Joe Gilgun that... Yes! ha ha... the fact that he's 'reading' a copy of Mayfair is the least of it!

Wow brilliant pics Gareth great find.
I didn't realise it was being shot on red cameras will be really interested to see the look of the series as usually I find the red looks really slick but not grimey or gritty like film, I imagined the series to look e.g the photo on the sites front page.
Really looking forward to this series could be the best thing on TV in years.

yeah I expected it to be shot on 16, be really in interesting to hear how they managed to make red look vintage if they do.
I have high hopes for this, itd be amazing if its good enough to rival the likes of the sopranos etc. high hopes I know but if anyone can do it

Thanks for that, Gareth. Nothing new here yet, but it might be worth keeping an eye on this page: www.channel4.com/microsites/T/thisisengland86/
