Cheers dazza mate i lol at the nut case bit it has 10 to many f's and 3 c's but it was a great fun thing to put together in a very short time. Don't worry the swearing will be far less it's a bit of a Nil by Mouth Jamie Foreman was on top form and it put Ray Winstone on the map as a total nut wife beating horrible c--t swearing every other word a very harsh dark film by Gary Oldman.

Nil By Mouth was made where I used to live, and sadly, it's brutally honest and real. But I left all my f's & c's dialogue behind for those reasons.

Awesome find that Shindig thats the exact scene i was thinking of and am shocked it's on you tube .Ray is just about the only actor who could pull that off thats also Gary's real life sister in the film not to mention Jamie's performance i think it needed to be that rough to show life in some of the places / estates in and about London and other parts in england . Tom i can believe you when you say it's that bad i have read your own posts you would have some real life story's to tell.

Ha ha. Yeah, it's nasty down that way, but somehow, it's still home.
Gary Oldman used the Five Bells Pub in the movie, and an old friend did relief management there. He phoned me up, petrified as he locked himself away in the flat above. Apparently two blokes refused to leave at kicking out time and told him to fill their glasses. When he said no, they took a pool cue each and told him they weren't leaving. Remembering the guy is nine stone in his socks, he did the smart thing an zipped upstairs, bolting the door behind him.
As he was on the blower to me, he watched them helping themselves to free beer and nuts, as well as playing the fruities with money from the till. I told him to call the police, but he just held out till they left - which was 3am.
Oldman knew what he was doing to get that place.

That was pretty fucking good you clever cunt. Fuck me, that was some nice effects work and no mistake. Shit me right up. For fuck's sake. I agree with what what most of the other fucking cunts on here have said, but I'd also add, that although your performance was fucking good, I think you could be less of a cunt, and stop fucking raging non-stop. For shit's sake. As an example, that fucking bit where you say to the cunt, "..after you", at the end of the fucking sentence. You should switch fucking gear on that bastard cunt so that it doesn't sound the fucking same as all the raging shit-storm your character keeps spouting off (like a cunt). Bollocks!

No, I didn't just mean that he was an unlike-able character (obviously intentional! haha), but that to make him more menacing, I think an occasional change of tone would make him more menacing and scary. I particularly thought this on the bit where he says "...after you" to the guy. Instead of delivering it in the same way as the rest of that bit of dialogue, I think it would make him more menacing to have a pause at the end of the previous line, followed by a quite calm and collected "...after you". I'm not entirely sure it would work better.... but what do you think?

Yer Dave. can see that now it would work better . the idea was that things to escalate out of control and tony who owes just thinking that he will get a few more days and a smack on the wrist.Even Jake was surprised to see that Bob had got stuck in there when he did not even or had to be involved at all. It's very hard to show all the buildup to the character's in a short 3 min film and to give the CHARACTER any chance of audience awareness to there mindset.

Paul you f**king c**t stop mugging me off you f**king tobey I asked you a f**king question a few posts back and want a f**king answer!!!! ;D
LOL only joking mate but I'm really interested to hear what you used soundwise for the film as I need to go and buy some kit for my shoot in two weeks time and the sound seemed really good in your film???
I do think Dave's right about Jake make him even more sinister or even schizo where one minute he is a total psycho and the next changes to a nice guy, helps show more of a dual character.
Thanks ;D
