Okay, I'm gonna be completely straight here -
Bad stuff - The acting of the guy who got cut up needs work. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but he was a little stale and amateur. Also, the dialogue - don't have too much swearing in it when it comes to shooting the film. Trust me, I know it's a writer's habitual problem when they draft early scripts, but if you have f*cking and c*nt as every other word, it doesn't work. The audience only hears the stream of swearing, and even the rowdiest squaddies don't swear as much as that in real life.
Good stuff - your performance was good, so well done. Decent angles and set ups all tightly put together. Great effects work. You seem to have a cohesive plot, and it's a keen sign of a good film on the horizon... So good luck!
Tom.

Not bad. The swearing was certainly overcooked, mind. Using a quick cut just to get a shot of the victim saying "Awww, fack!" seemed a tad unneccessary.
Given he's about to be cut, battered or whatever, he needs to have the fear of God into him.

Given he's about to be cut, battered or whatever, he needs to have the fear of God into him. Yes indeed. He's gonna have to ramp up the performance a little if it's gonna work. But yeah, smart to have a dry run before you make the film. Good luck.

But the swearing is going to be cut down it was as Tom says a test for all and the new Sony Ex1 camera which it was the first test of also.It has a array of settings and the Sony factory setup is not great but we have now found some great new custom setup mode's

Hey Paul,
Bad part: I agree the dialogue needs a lot of work buddy. Far too many F**ks and C**ts its almost every other word and is too much so learn from this for the main film.
Good part: The film visually looked nice tho, I liked the variety of shots and angles used, the filming of the car on the move and the slowmo and sound effects and the sick grin on the other guys face when you cut the guys hand off. You can definately pull off playing the nutjob role. I also liked the use of the dog and the dark humour at the end.
Nice one ;D
