Hmmm... I see what you mean Dave. But surely all of the dedicated members on here, presuming they can all make it, arn't going to fill up an auditorium? Just my thoughts. I'd still come alone if need be.

Thanks Shane, I could make it at a moment's notice at either venue.
Although not unemployed, I've a very flexible employer and I can take my hols as and when I like.

To be honest with ya, I would like for my girlfriend to come along but I was gonna hold back until the last minute to ask if that was possible. Just think its a bit bad to be booking places for people straight away. but whaddoiknow?

I'm just thinking about the little fella! This would be such a rare and unique opportunity, I don't think people should be treating it as a trip to the cinema or a jolly for friends and family. ;D For a Shane Meadows fan, this kind of opportunity may never arise again, so I think everyone who attends should have at least posted on this forum (and not after this event has been announced either!). Being able to bring along people who have had no involvement in the site whatsoever is a bit off, and kind of negates the point of stipulating it should be long-term members. If not really a full slap in the face, it's a cheeky tweak of the nose to those who have contributed to the community of this site in any small way, when in the end it just turns out.... "It's who you know!" I guess it would work as a kind of satire of the film industry though!  The number of available seats is not the issue.  Shane will probably be happy for people to bring someone along, I just thought that the little people of the site needed some backing up! I just feel that someone who has only been a member for a week and has only posted a couple of times has far more right to attend than someone who hasn't. |

Well, in fairness, I did acknowledge that my request was 'cheeky' and, again, only after all (not just 'Maniacs') had their chance to take up the offer...............But the number of seats available IS the issue, I think and, really, what's the problem with trying to bring along somebody who's as big a fan as me? Anyways, it's no big deal...............my last post was shameless emotional manipulation......haven't even told my gal about it yet |
