I was just on here to find stuff out - like what is happening in the Meadows world.
Turns out it's all actors and that looking for 'breaks' - I hadn't even thought of that.

hey im new here i watched this is england about..... i lost count!! dam what a film! i aint here to ask for a job or to be an actor. i just wanted to ask is there gonna be this is england2? combo could get released from prison bumps into shaun and some whole new shit could kick off.. what ya think?

NOT looking for audition. NOT looking for film part. Have NO film to promote. this is just a plea to Shane (given that a lot of your films have the message of get out there and give it a shot- thought Id take your advice) I work for Notts Youth Offending Service and we want to give our youth some encouraging messages that they can change their lives and for them to see/hear from succesful people who've maybe been where they are now.
Ok I realise it is still begging but hell these kids are seriously worth making a tit of myself!

Thanks for the advice! Can assure you tho' Im NOT lorna Jones and im definitely NOT seeking a bit part in any movie (would crap myself!) Just think Shane would be great to promote/endorse our message that you can change your life and there is a future beyond the crap that is now!

Is it possible/would it be a good idea to prevent people from starting threads until they've made, say, 20 posts? Lately, the forum seems to be littered with giz a job/write my essay for me/watch my film etc threads from people who make no contribution to other threads/conversations whatsoever. Announcements/posts on Shane related things that would be of interest to members could be routed through Dave? Am I the only person who's bothered by this?

There should be a contacting shane section where people can post their requests with an explanation at the top stating that chances are shane wont get back to you but if you post one of these requests anywhere else on the forum it'll be moved of deleted. I think I came to this forum and to paddys with these type of requests just out of sheer excitement that it was possible to get intouch with my film making heros, I think the majority of people just dont realize the forums not the place for it, christ I even tried to send Paddy one of my short film scripts once! I know creating this section might be imposing on Shane a bit but if its clearly explained what we clearly explain everytime someone posts one of these requests then at least it keeps it away from the rest of the forum |
