Brand new to this site , been meaning to join for more than a couple of years , better late than never! Seems to be some great discussions and interesting discoveries going on here, as for giz a job...I'm not going to pull that stunt, yet Shane, you probably get bombarded with these too..But my god what a director you are. .I've been forced to join this after watching '...england '88' because i've been moved more than ever by the whole thing. I'm from the midlands and you capture everything, literally. It's safe to say it's as raw as it can possibly get. It's real and its powerful. Great job once again, Shane.

just joined the site, looks as if Shane's a little peeved, This is my first read through on the site and I guess you have to stick to the rules in here, one quick note Shane, these guys worship you and you go and break their hearts by posting this massive read up,yes I understand its a total pain everyone trying to get a 15 second bit of you, why don't you just get one of your trusted pals to start a casting agency or direct them to one you use so they can register, this way they no you have their details and if they fit the part, they will get the work, believe me your hard work to contact and all the legal tape that's attached to you and Paddy C don't help. I don't want to upset anyone in this forum, but come on guys point them in the right direction. many thanks nick

Well I am a new poster but don't want a job thanks lol.
I have seen This is England advertised over the years and always liked the look of it however always missed when it was on TV. I have spent most of my adult life with someone or trying to be with them so it would always be what they wanted. Long story short I have finally woken up and found your fantastic programmes. I have to say the original one wasn't on but have ordered the DVD and watched all the others. I sobbed at the end of 86 and 88 as it was just like my teenage years (I hate to admit though I was more punk and it was more 83 and 86 ) . By 88 I was in an abusive relationship and unable to see my friends.

I am still tearful now after actually finishing yet another bad relationship because it reminded me that I didn't have anything back then but I had my friends none of which would ever let me go it alone. So thank you....so many harrowing scenes but yet the strength of people then shows because of how little we had materially yet how rich we were in many other ways. I often yearn to go back xx

I dream of produce a Shane Movie from starting project.
I have some mony to invest et I like how Shane manage the movies budget...
