Bastard, that one at the Electric is sold out! You got in in Edinburgh! You'll get in again. Like NINJA!! If not... Erm ;D You might be interested to know that I've been asked by QUAD to do a Q&A before a showing of LD&S on Tuesday 13 October at 20:40 hours. So you have a chance to throw things at me! Or give good heckle... Or you could do cold hard glares at me and do humming en masse to try and unnerve me! ;D Would be nice to see any nearby forummers there. I can't promise any super models though... ;D

HOT... yet unconfirmed... NEWS!
Apparently the preview screening here at the Watershed on the 8th of September features the live talkings of both Mr Considine and Mr Scor-zay-zee! Whoop whoop, etc!
There are also murmurings of Paddy doing a talk about acting at the Old Vic theatre in Bristol too... probably the same day I would imagine to milk the Considine while he's in town.
UPDATE!!! Paddy has just confirmed that this is happening over on his website!

I just saw it! It arrived at work a few days ago and I've been eyeing it up ever since!
So, today I came in early to work in order to give myself a early presentation.... it's research alright!! ;D
There's one major thing wrong with this film... it's too short! haha. Okay, maybe stretching it any further may have been the wrong thing to do, but by the end you can't help but feel a need for more Donk!
A big shout-out to me main man Bill Edwards! The opening title sequence is better than I had imagined it would be, and I had already imagined good things. I recall Bill saying that he still felt some of it was a bit fast for his liking, but for me that really worked in it's favour. Really frenetic and busy. You're just catching up with the jokes from a few shots previous when you clock more gags... basically leading to snowball effect of laughs building on laughs. Brilliant. Now I understand some of the previous images we have seen of the title sequence. There's quite a few bits which relate to the lyrics being played over the top which is obviously something you couldn't decipher from the still images. I particularly liked the animation skills of Scor-zay-zee's bobbing baseball cap!
I think I spotted the garage from Once Upon a Time in the Midlands.

I have just bought tickets for me and my OH Brian for Monday at The Showroom. I have now got a dream few days ahead of me. Friday afternoon off work to attend the Sheffield CAMRA Beer and Cider festival in the General Cemetery; all weekend camping out in woodland learning basic survival skills courtesy of Sheffield Parks and Countryside Ranger Service (Brian promised there will be no spiders in Wharncliffe Woods that particular weekend) and then Monday a posh frock and Le Donk & Scor-Zay-Zee woo hoo! EDIT: OK I have posted a short blog about it here. Why is Scor-Zay-Zee spelt differently on the IMDB and on the poster? Am I missing something?

Hah! ;D Now that's weird seeing my mug amongst those greats. Cheers Thribb! Good to meet you and the missus again. And Seamus O'Niell was sitting at the end of my row! I didn't recognise him with beard and flowing hair. I had to shuffle past him three times. I could've said hello... Dammit! I had a great night. Managed to wrangle some tickets for a few work colleagues so that was nice to have them there. Got to shake Paddy's hand and have a quick chat. Shane introduced me to his mum and dad and at last I got to thank Jo, Shane's partner, in person for what's happened to me! Thanks again, Jo! Kieran Hardcastle, Kez in TIE and on this forum, was there too so it was nice to meet him and have a chat. All the best mate! And while Thribb was taking those photos above, I took a few from where I was sitting. Can yer see where Thribb is yet?
