I repeat, and I am not proud of it...I have watched this last episode at points during the day and I cannot watch or listen to Lol and Micks 'scene'... . Yes, I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole thing back to back with no breaks though. Me too and picking up on dialogue I missed as well. I haven't even really slept since I watched this. Need to sleep and then keep processing what I have seen. ;D

The ending was simply brilliant! I loved the way Combo redeemed himself. I never noticed the first time i watched the ending Combo saying "let me do something right"... or along those lines. I thought that was brilliant. I feel it sat well with the end of the movie after he had attacked Milky and he helped get him to the hospital but thats just my humble opinion overall it was just an excellent end to an excellent series!

Apairt from Woody falling off the bed after Lol had smacked him on the head.. I think I've made it clear that I was no fan of the comedy in this, but I'm referring to the heavily scripted, almost sitcom type stuff that was in the earlier episodes. This kind of stuff I have no problem with because it's 'real'. The SLAP SLAP SLAP SLAP that Woody and Milky got made me laugh very hard indeed. I think it's because it was so unexpected and done with such conviction. Maybe I just have a warped sense of humour.

i hope somebody else picked this up but when combo went to see his dead mum you saw shaun crying... but i dont think it was because combos mum was dead, let's not forget combo was wearing shaun's dad's clothes possibly shaun got a chance to see his dad for the last time?
(Shane if you read this please let us know why shaun was crying, its getting on my tits!)

What a great last episode!
I was glued to the TV screen the whole series and for some reason it started a wierd ritual where i had to watch the episode while drinking a bottle of Bulmers pear cider.....
My biggest issue with the ending is that it came so soon! No way should this have been a 4-part series, i think 6 or 8 would have been way better! ;D
I really hope Shane and the crew come back for another series (and maybe more). With some of the rubbish that is on TV these days its great to see a top-notch british series breaking through and leading the way!
btw Andrew Shim is going to be a class actor, possible one of the best in TV!

I think Thomas Turgoose has been excellent throughout-although all the cast have been rock solid.

I did think the final montagy-like bit might have been a bit more spread out though-it was hard to figure out whether all that we saw was happening immediately afterwards, or was bits and pieces over a more extended period of time. Yeah, I got exactly the same sense of confusion with this. I'm guessing, though, that the scene where Lol is comforting her crying sister was within days (maybe even the day after) of the killing. As for Combo's incarceration, that must have been set much further on, as it will all have had to go through the courts, etc. And typing that I've just relaised I'm blabbering on about a detail that in the grand scale of things doesn't really matter anyway It seemed to me like that's what they were doing while everyone else was watching the England game, which would've been three days after Lol killed Mick.

I love the fact that we are left with stray ends .. we can come up with all different scenarios ! As everyone else, looking forward to the DVD!

Thomas Turgoose has been through this himself in his personal life, he knows first hand what it feels like not as an actor but as a young man. Perhaps it was expressed through his acting. Also as Shaun he lost his father so he has a good idea how it feels. TT is a fantastic young actor.

Did the prison scene at the end remind anyone else of Scum. It got me thinking how good Graham would have been in Ray Winston's role. Although, thinking about it, he'd have been far too young back then.

Hello to everyone, this will probably be my only post but after watching the series I felt compelled to communicate my thanks and admiration to Shane Meadows somehow.
Redemption without sentimentality, darkness matched only by light, revulsion nullified by joy. Alan Bennett on steroids.
Combo's plea, 'let me do something good, let me do something good', will haunt me for sometime to come.
Brilliant, thank you.

In reality yeah its pretty obvious where those tears were coming from

i thought the series as a whole was brilliant, one of the best dramas i have ever seen. i think all the actors were incredible. knowing that they began off as amateurs in the film still surprises me, as they are better than many actors who have made it into films/other dramas. their ability to act out gritty themes and shocking violence, as well as show raw emotion, is excellent. i think all the cast deserve praise for their work.

Shane certainly knows how to pick 'em Some people have complained that the ending was too predictable, not sure whether anyone on here has, but I have seen it elsewhere - but I needed predictable! I'm hoping everyone involved gets their fair share of praise, they certainly deserve it. Not many people can pull off storylines like that, acting and directing wise and get "away with it". It was incredible and certainly one of the most gripping, dramatic and sensational pieces of drama I have ever seen, in fact - I'm sure it is. Nothing has ever made me feel that way (apart from DMS) To everyone involved, thankyou
