This man should hang his head in shame he's done nothing but cause pain and suffering.

Steady on with the insults Clifton, old Mad Dog will be looking for a place to 'wash' a big stack of shady oil money pretty soon-could be (another) new dawn for Notts. You might get Saadi in the deal too, to play alongside Hughes-killer line up.

I meant to post about this Clifton, but never got around to it. I read this a few months back: www.amazon.co.uk/Hoods-Gangs-Nottingham-Study-Organized/dp/190385458XNot completely sure, but I think the author's linked to Left Lion in some way?? I lived in Bulwell for quite some time, so I found it an interesting, though disturbing, read. You might also find it interesting. I believe gun crime in Nottingham has dropped by about 90% since they locked up this crazy and some of his hencemen.

The book is mainly about the Gunn family (No pun) its a really boring book.
It seems that the Gunn family were just about taking control of Nott'm. (Drugs,Bouncers,Clubs ect) They lived in Bestwood nasty family no doubt about that.

its a really boring book. . I found it really interesting. It's not exclusively about the Gunns (even though he's on the cover). It's also about the early stuff that was going on in the Meadows, Radford and St. Anns in the 1990s too-including the Yardie dimension. The Yardie-Nottingham Police-Met intrigue is also covered, which made all the national newspapers back then (incredible stuff). Also, Nottingham City Council (or a bit of it) in their wisdom putting the biggest drug dealer in the city at the hub of their anti-drugs services....mmmm, well done there then. The coverage of Bestwood/Buwell etc is also fascinating, I think. Whole sweeps of territory effectively outside of police-and other authorities-control for a while and the Gunns setting up an alternative Mafia-like 'family' network .....and infiltrating the police force. The Wire comes to Nottingham!! Each to his own though-Woody ;D
