Hi Kiddy Wink's,
thought I drop by, it's been a while. Since I'm here I thought I drop you off a little treat.
Paddy‘s first feature as a director; Tyrannosaur: World exclusive first trailer...
For those who don't already know Paddy adapted the feature from his previous short Dog Altogether, and has said that “mainly [Tyrannosaur is] about my interpretation of life, and trying to function as a human.”
The film got outstanding reviews at Sundance early this year and has already scooped seven awards up during festival season so far, and is set to play TIFF next month. So here is an absolutely outstanding trailer that shows off the film’s grit and gives a taste of the incredible performances that have sent the critics and award panels mental.
If you just can't wiat untill October the 7th for it's officlal UK release then why not treat yourself to an advanced viewing at the BFI Southbank (London) where Paddy himself will be doing a special advanced preview screening followed by a Q+A session. The screening will take place on 6th of October at 20:30 in the NFT1.

Hey Morell! Looking forward to it! He's also coming to the Cambridge Film Festival (which I work on as a projectionist!) on 24th September. It'll be a screening of the film, and a Q&A afterwards with Paddy. Here's the brochure, far right on page 27 www.cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk/

Glad you could drop in, Morell! The trailer looks incredibly bleak but interesting... Fortunately, Strand has picked up the film for US distribution, with a release date supposedly set for Nov. 18 -- in limited release, so I will most likely end up waiting for the DVD... You should see the IMDb board for the film, though -- I've already lost count of how many people have started thread topics complaining about the title and the fact that the film isn't actually about dinosaurs.

cant wait to see it, gonna try and get to that BFI screening
the only thing is after watching the trailer I'm now wondering if I'd enjoy the feature a hell of a lot more if I hadn't watched the short countless amounts of times, I think by the end of the first time I see it I'll feel envious of people who've came to the story and characters completely fresh, it'll take some getting my head round that I'm not watching a sort of sequel

Actually Gareth The feature uses the short as a scene and then the film goes off in a direction from then on that the short didn't suggest. There's a ton of room for surprises still even if you may have been a little over exposed by the time you get to the full film.
GR, its grim but the mastery at work on screen and behind the camera actually surpass that. Half the time you are stuck in the depths and the other half you are likely to have your mouth open at the performances. And you'd be surprised to know there are some quite lighthearted and some touching moments to offset anything too upsetting.
I'm no publicist but it's worth the hype no matter what people's preconceptions may be.

just to clarify do you mean a scene out the short is used, or the whole short, in the reality of the characters has everything that happened in the short happened in the feature?

It probably won't play anywhere near me, but I'll be looking forward to the DVD.

just to clarify do you mean a scene out the short is used, or the whole short, in the reality of the characters has everything that happened in the short happened in the feature? Hi Gareth. What I mean is that the short ('Dog Altogether') has been re-shot, word-for-word, line-for-line in full and is used in it's entirety in the feature. The short in the reality of the characters has never happened so happens for the first time in the film. Essentially the film starts with 'Dog Altogether' then expands from the last shot of the short and continues from there. Hope that makes sense. What I'm saying is basically; if you saw the short you've already seen the first scene but no more.

I am working on October the 1st, I am so gutted that I will miss the Q and A screening in Derby. Will have to wait until the 7th when it comes to the Broadway in Nottingham.

Happy to say I have seen the film! It is incredible.
I was lucky enough to film the Q&A afterwards with a friend. A couple of shit questions from the audience, but Paddy was brilliant, very interesting and clearly passionate. What a guy!
The Q&A will be online at some point, my friend has edited it, I shall ask her!
