I don't know if anyone else has noticed but I just thought I would post that is is very nice to see DMS in the Top 200 in this issue of Empire. As voted for by the public. I think it lies at about position 180. Well done xx

Whil I agree it was nice to see Dead Man's Shoes on that list, there was some very curious entries, to put it politely.

DMS is 180 out of 201 Donkster. If you've got the issue Paddy makes a great comment about Lord of the rings in the Number 3 spot. I you havent got it i just posted it on the www.paddyconsidine.tk forum. Have a butchers. I think its a dodgy list myself fuck knows who compiled it. especially as Empire released a 100 greatest special issue last month with a completely different line-up! Goodfellas was Number one then and its Shawshank a month later. WTF!

Here's one of the biggest eye openers: The Matrix (10) apparently, is better than Jaws (11), Apocalypse Now (24), 2001 (33) and The Shining (55) - Hmmmm. Keep smoking the crack guys...

I know these lists are a bit handicapped at the the best of times, but It's good we made it on there. Even if there's no logic to the order the fact that it made enough of a dent to be remembered is enough for me. I may treat myself to a Vesta beef curry now I know I've arrived!

Wasn't trying to take anything away from you there, Shane. Dead Man's Shoes definitely deserves a place in there - most of the films that Empire have chosen do belong on the list, it's the order that's all wrong, mate

The difference between the two lists I think is that the top 100 before was compiled by Empire; this time it was voted for by the public.
I think it deserves more than a curry Shane, maybe some Ben and Jerrys for desert too would be a good choice.
OH yeah I forgot to mention that Paddy comments on a couple, very funny comments at that.

Thank goodness for Miss Donk....
I thought I was the only person in the world who doesn't find Will Ferrell funny.

I sense a rift here. Will Ferell is funny as hell but when you've seen him do the same thing 80 times it loses its impact. He is sheer class in old school and Zoolander, but by the time you get to Kicking and screaming and bewitched I've had my fill...of Will. But the same could be said of Jim Carrey. There is no real difference between Cable guy,Ace ventura and the Riddler. (I think Jim Carey is great..Truman Show,Eternal Sunshine,Genius)
