Haha!! Shiny POGs were my favourite. Oh the lunchtimes spent swapping POGs and trying to win back my metal slammers.

I remember the 3d pigs, bacon flavour of course, conna remember the name.
Anyone remember Tuckers (crisp that only seemed to be around for about 6 months) and what about 'Snackattack', the ready meal?

To digress slightly – what about other snacks that aren’t around anymore? Remember Novas (kind of like a cereal bar dipped in chocolate? And who’s old enough to remember the biscuits that were tied-in to the cinema release of ET? You got three in a packet and they were f***ing gross – one was brown (cola), one orange and one green. Nasty and best forgotten. We had a bit on an 80s discussion over on Anchor Bay UK’s forums a while ago. Should be a nice gentle jog down memory lane if anyone’s got the time to have a look. The Games! The Films! The Music! The Snacks! www.anchorbay.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=8671&page=1&highlight=80s

I second or 3rd transform-a-snack. The ones that were simply "spicy" flavour.
When poor at dinner times I'd often opt for 3 x 10p bags of those fun shaped magic maize as opposed to a single bag of normal 'regular shaped' crisps!
Does anyone remember those limited editon cadburys quickand secret bars, they'd do a run out of a few months then disappear. The secret came back due to "popular demand" but went away again as quick!

Shane youth, will any of these retro snacks be appearing in this is england? Maybe a re-shoot with some frazzles or salt and shakes in a scene or two is in order.

Last one now.
Does anyone remeber those little ghostbusters jellies that came in a little plastic packet vacuum formed into the shape of a wierd creature. The colour of the sweet was remeniscent of a hot wheel car that you'd half jammed into some boiling water. You had to peel the sweet out of the packet.
My friends think im mad and making it up because im specific about it. Someone please share my memory.

deadmansrockports, I remember them. I think they're still around or were up til a couple of years back - not the Ghostbusters ones, but the same kind of thing. They used to do them for Spiderman and all sorts of kids franchises at the time.
