Sounds lame but I agree with everyone else, although the thing that really did shock me, not for its violence so much was when Richard kills himself at the end. I just wasn't expecting it and it was so beautiful. It was almost the most shocking thing because it is actually the LEAST violently shocking thing. The thing in the kitchen though, that was just horrible, and when Anthony hung himself. That was just awful. So awful. Such a thoroughly intense film.
