So where is everyone then? It seems to me like we started off good in here, chatting, having a few laughs, now it's like my sex life. None existant. Come on you lot there must be something to bullshit about i'm bored out of my tiny little mind. Just to start you off has anyone seen Napoleon Dynamite yet? It's one of the funniest films i've seen in a while.
If anyone says anything about this been a Shane Meadows site i will pull of your eyelids.

I think you may have got the wrong end of the stick there JT. As far as I can see, Fattaxi is wholeheartedly agreeing with you on the Napoleon Dynamite front! I think it was a rhetorical question (Was it not the funniest film?). No wonder people are not posting as much now if you're going to bite their heads off at every chance! I saw Napoleon Dynamite too. Yeah it was cool. I see it's just been released on DVD too. I am pretty intrigued to know what the extras are like. Anyone seen them yet?

Soory Dave that was some sad attempt to talk like Napoleon, with his angry answers to normal questions. God i'm such a sad movie geeks it hurts.
With a frickin' 12 gage what'd ya think.
I'll get my coat, ok.

i found van helsing rather amusing, although probably not for the right reasons.
i reckon that film isn't the best medium for comedy, think of the funniest films of all time;
verses the funniest tv shows
fawlty towers alan partridge day today brass eye blackadder the office
i don't think anchorman or shaun of dead [which was a bigger, less funny, but still pretty good version of spaced] did any thing to disprove my stupidly contentious theory.....

Oh! TV Comedies!! I like some of those! haha. I'm actually pretty into my comedy stuff... for instance (prepare for crap showing off)..
I believe EdmundKean is referring to "Garth Merenghi's Dark Place" which I also thought was great stuff. DVD coming out soon. Whereas jtrodreigez is talking about "Dr Terrible's House of Horrible" starring Steve Coogan, which I thought was rather weak. IMO.
Stuff I like (just a few)!
The Office Black Books Father Ted Fawlty Towers Seinfeld Look Around You Marion and Geoff Alan Partridge (all of it of course!) The Day Today/Jam/Brass Eys (most Chris Morris stuff really, although I feel he has gone off the boil of late... with Nathan Barley and other things)
However.. I especially love a sitcom called "15 Storeys High". I thought it was amazing, but the BBC didn't and it appears to have vanished without much to show for itself. There were 2 series (the most recent was just over a year ago)... series one is out on DVD (with bugger all extras sadly).... but there seems to be no plans to release the second series. It starred comedian Sean Lock and Benedict Wong and was set in a block of flats (mostly). Anyway, I advise people to search it out (in much the same way I try to advise people to watch Shanes films!). Go on.. give it a try.

Garth Merenghi was fucking genius, the bbc really have no idea what makes good comedy any more. too much 'my family' and 'little britain'.
the definition of an unfunny person is someone who comes up to you in a pub and quotes little britain expecting you to laugh...
i reckon that most of the tv comedies folks have mentioned shit all over most comedy films. i'm really NOT looking forward to the league of gentleman and red dwarf films. the medium just doesn't work for that kind of stuff.
