I'm off to see "Manchester Orchestra" at the Duchess in York on the 30th. My fave band, they are supporting Biffy Clyro but are doing this gig as a headline show. Check them out if you've never heard them before. www.myspace.com/manchesterorchestra

Green Day at the MEN arena last night.
Fabulous. I like the opera quality of 21st Century Breakdown.
Marred only by the fact that there was a little self-parody creeping in, the very lethargic crowd (for such a big stadium band I was expecting a wall-to-wall mosh pit, instead of the 50 die hards at the front, and the bloke puking during the poignant 2nd encore was not great timing.

I used to love Green Day. Not listened to the new album, as people they seem like idiots these days. American Idiot was a good album to be fair though. I guess I'm just bored of them. I saw them headline Reading in 2004. Definitely one of the best bands I've ever seen at Reading. 50 Cent got bottled off beforehand so they had an even longer set. Hadn't released American Idiot yet, so they played all the classics, plus more. 4 Punk covers. Will never forget seeing "Hitching a Ride" I'm seeing 65daysofstatic on the 18th of this month. If you haven't heard of this band. Sort it out! You like rock? You like piano? Interested in hearing awesome music without vocals that isn't Mowai?! Listen to 65. Then see them live.

I've a ticquet for The Magnetic Fields at Manchester Cathedral next year. I don't think there'd be any more perfect a place to watch them in. Cor.

So i saw 65 on the 18th Nov. Fantastic. Definitely one of the best live shows I've ever seen. they played 4 new songs and they were awesome. Shows a good band when you're not disappointed by new stuff. Played a lot from the first album which is great for me, as I got into them once their second album was out, last time I saw them they played a lot from the 3rd record. Looking forward to the 4th!
Seeing the Mars Volta for the 4th time on the 14th. New album is very slow, so hoping for some slower songs; Televators or Miranda please!! Very unlikely but I've always wanted to hear L' Via L' Viaquez live.

Last concert I went to was Motorpsycho at Debaser in Stockholm, Oct 28th. Long time fan of the band, first time I saw them live, and it was bloody awesome. There wasn't a huge turnout, so I was able to be right up front, pressed against the center of the stage. And I swear, it took 3 days before I could feel my bottom half. There are only 3 of them in the band, but they had the power of at least 5. And obscene bass. Just the way I like it. ;D
I'm not too sure what's up next. I was working when Tortoise came to town, would have liked to see them...
