Really?! I hadn't noticed. Only everyone's Facebook status and news being dominated by the fact. Be funny to see the media take a U-Turn and start saying how amazing he was now. ITV has a documentary on MJ NOW!! Right now! Is as if they prepered the doco ages ago so it was ready to be screened in the event of his death. Bloody media.
Anyway... loved his music when I was younger, and to be honest still really enjoy it. I really find it hard to believe any of the pedo stuff. I like to think he was just a bit clueless... too childlike. I can see why people think he was though. I'm sure a lot of aligations (sp?) were false just in order to get some money. But perhaps he was a massive pedo. I've no bloody idea. Sad to see the old boy go. Provided a lot of awesome tunes for me to enjoy.
They're saying Michael Jackson tripped over a baby's pram which triggered his heart attack. However, Doctors are saying its too early to.... Blame it on the Buggie.

The only other thing I'd like to add is that I really don't want to hear anyone else dubbing himself the new/next "King of Pop." :-\ (Elvis has been dead for over 30 years, and we still haven't had anybody calling himself "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" since then, right?)

Well I say good riddance to a nailed on wrong 'un. Yeah, right. Talk about spouting utter shite. Have you never heard of the saying 'don't speak ill of the dead?' How old are you? Alright, you might think all of his music was rubbish but I am deeply perplexed by someone posting crap like that.

Don't speak ill of the dead. Some people out there deserve to be spoken ill of.
How old am I? Old enough to form an opinion that someone, who had his origns and features altered and his skin dyed white then started to use his stature to manipulate and sexually abuse children is not a nice person. Amazingly unlike Garry Glitter who deservedly has to hide, because he sold millions he was allowed to remain in the limelight and was accepted.
Forgive me for not shedding a tear.

Alright, fair enough then. That's not true though, that Jackson was accepted. He was totally destroyed by the very people who built him up. Nobody revered or looked up to him anymore except for fanatical fans. People who'd booked tickets for London were mostly on a nostalgia trip and because he was a circus freak. I don't mean this as a personal thing, I am just taking issue with your expressed view. Thanks for the reponse and I do agree with you generally with your sentiments. There is something wrong with the media and the way this is all treated, at times. To be fair, though, many shows yesterday on the BBC went into some depth in describing the troubling and plain weird, perverse behaviour of Jackson.
I just personally think that speaking ill of someone who is lying in a mortuary is pretty depressing, it doesn't achieve anything. If someone has died then they'll receive their just rewards in heaven or hell, if you believe in that. Why would you deem it necessary to say 'good riddance' on a forum like this, unless you're of a depressive bent or trying to look hard? Just seems both immature and transparently callow. Unless you're trying to be a character like your avatar picture - Malcolm McDowell, right? Which film is that from please? O Lucky Man?

I'm just disguted at the pretend grief from people and especially the media. See also Diana and fucking Jade Goody. I apologise if my initial reply was blunt but that's my feelings on it. how you've got that as me trying to look hard or try and be like a fictional book/film character I'm not quite sure? Oh and its a still from A Clockwork Orange.
