Next time you think about the MJ song, Bad. Just replace every mention of the word 'bad' with the other word, 'dead'.
OW!
Dryer than Gary C?
No I suppose not... There must be a knack to it...

Alan Carr said "I love the way MJ fans have has a go cos I havent mentioned him. Sorry!! But I have a life." I thought his life was endless chat about trivia. Getting emotional over celebrities is one thing, but to me it makes far more sense than a load of football fans crying into their pies because some blokes didn't kick a football into a net enough times. Steady on Dave…you’re wandering into dangerous territory. You wanna be starting something? That’s bad. When it come to footie teams, you got to be there, with your girlfriend and a child’s heart, when there aint no sunshine, you think you can’t win, but you’re happy when you remember the time, that one day in your life...... when somebody-who is it?-billie jean?-knocks one in off the wall and just when you were starting to think ‘this team, they don’t care about us’, it turns into a right thriller as the realisation that you’ve got one more chance gives you butterflies and you cry ‘we’re almost there.’ Only then will you understand that when it comes to a fan’s love for his/her team it’s all about the way you make me feel. Until then, unless you’re invincible, on this site like this you’ll be gone too soon. So beat it, pretty young thing and leave me alone. We done with the Jacko song references? ‘kin hope so. Anyway, I didn't cry about Jacko, I was too busy sobbing at that life defining memory of my mum refusing to let me have a Farrah Fawcett haircut.

Jill, I'm slow clapping you now. It's a bit like Tory Blair speaking to the Women's Institute. ;D

There must be a knack to it... ;D You win! I suppose I'm emotionally detached as being 23 I was born when he was in his prime, but grew up consciously aware of him during "the crazy years". I always remember being at primary school, about 6 or 7 and not having any idea really what plastic surgery is and pulling the cling film mum wrapped my sandwiches in tight round my fingers and saying I was Michael Jackson... coz my fingers were plastic... simple minds and all that.

I'm not saying I'm emotionally attached. I'm not, I haven't mourned in the slightest... I didn't know the guy.
But I did love MJ as a kid. And I'm 22. Had the music videos on VHS, and Moonwalker, the film and Mega Drive game (great game! Fact!) My Dad had the cd's. Loved the music and videos. But never really tried to understand the man.

See my dad is a David Bowie obsessive, so I've had that and Madness rammed into my brain since I was young. Other than the big'uns I can't name you many MJ songs. Strange isn't it how you can completely miss a certain section of pop culture that's so huge.

You know what'd be stunning? If the investigators stumbled accross a porn dungeon.
"This man was a horrible person." "Shush. The fans will hear you..."
<nearby cup of water begins to quake>
The man's a legendary artist, though. Apparently, I was a fan as a child and that's all come flooding back.
