I need to spread The Wedding Present? I asked if you had heard them because so many I know haven't heard of them...people, all of you, need to hear The Wedding Present.

In the mood for some more great power pop, I've got my Marshall Crenshaw records out this evening. ;D

NYD, got a listen at Wedding Present's albums George Best and Take Fountain. The latter didn't actually click on me, though I liked a couple songs. George Best is a friggin' brilliant album, I love it! So, thanks for the recommendation!

Listening to Wild Night by Van Morrison. I always liked that song. I've been listening to Kirsty MacColl's Titanic Days (the deluxe 2-disc 2005 reissue) again in the past couple of days -- probably because, with the cooling weather, I've had the song "Last Day Of Summer" in my head...

The Holy Pictures by David Holmes Trippy and ethereal. Shades of Jesus And Mary Chain, Beck, Air... Quite cinematic which is not surprising as he's done movie scores in the past. www.myspace.com/davidholmesofficial

Mogwai - Rock Action.... superb every track excellent. also... a Mogwai album with more than one song that has vocals?! Bizarre! Ha ha. Great band. I hear they have a new album coming out. They're also touring... very tempted to go.

It's a tremendous slice of skewed plinky-plonky lo-fi indiepop which shines like a beacon in what has been probably the worst year for music in living memory. In my humble of course.

Can't get enough of the This Is England soundtrack at the moment, especially Ludovico's stuff. Gonna have to get some of his CDs recommend any?
