Say, chromebaby, you wouldn't happen to listen to Chrome by any chance..? And by Chrome I mean these guys. Every time I see a post from you , I hear the song "Firebomb" in my head. ;D I've not heard of them, no. The little speaker icons didn't work on the page so I don't what they sound like yet either. I did a search on YouTube but drew a blank. I'll search again in a bit.

I got YouthMovies' "Good Nature" for Christmas. Saw the band live ages ago and really enjoyed them. Wanted to check out their albums ever since but never did. This is excellent; original AND catchy. Sticks in my head and drags me back to listen to it again. Epic and fun. Some pleasantly jarring riffs. The band is apparently called "Youm" now.

The Essential "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Pulp's Hits collection (both of which I just got for Christmas). ;D I just heard a Weird Al track that I hadn't heard before. I think was called something like "The Time Santa Went Mad" I was surprised at what a great piece of music it was! The lyrics were his usual larks (I'm not always a fan of them) but for some reason the music really struck me as rather nice!

That's the neat thing about Al (and his band, too) -- even when the lyrics aren't particularly funny, it's hard not to admire the craft that went into the music.

I CANNOT stop listening to The Thermals. They are amazing. Especially the album 'The Body, The Blood, the Machine'.
I urge anyone who likes anything to check them out.

Tonight, it's a true mixed bag. Pavement and Autopsy. A highly unlikely marriage.

Twilight Sad's Forget the Night Ahead. They're my new favourite thing from Scotland until Teenage Fanclub bring out their new album this year.
