I'm now back listening to The Black Keys albums after seeing them live again last week. Still a quality sound.

Silversun Pickups - Seasick EP Hasn't even been released in the UK for some reason. It's three tracks from the sessions of their last album that didn't make it onto the full-length release. Pleasant and catchy rock/pop, not extreme metal But talking of metal... Swedish metallers Meshuggah's new album called Koloss is out! I'm not that familiar with it yet. I often think of their music as complex monotony! How tempting! haha.

The whole album is quality but my favorite tracks are Girl and In my life. Good choices sir. Nowhere Man. The Word and If I Needed Someone are personal favorites. The whole album would be another band's greatest hits. But you could so that about most Beatles albums. I've long thought that In my Life is over produced and would've been better sung a cappella. One of George Martin's few missteps. Only my puny opinion there. I'm listening to 50 Words For Snow by Kate Bush. Aside from an unwelcome intrusion by Sir Elton of the John I'm loving it.

I like the Johnny Cash cover: Rubber Soul's a great album-though my favourite remains Revolver.

That's a beautiful version. That's a performance that suits the lyric more than the slightly flippant original production. Lennon and George Martin should have done a 'Yesterday' with it. I have been listening to this totally funked up version of Give Peace a Chance that Jarvis Cocker played on his BBC6 music show last Sunday. TOOON!!

The dB's, Falling Off the Sky. Absolutely love it -- sweet hooks and harmonies, a blast from start to finish.

Peter Serafinowicz tweeted this music video yesterday. It's by some Korean guy know as Psy and it's hilarious!
I wasn't sure at first, but I'm now pretty convinced that this video is totally knowing and is intentionally ridiculous. It seems that a lot of people think it's unintentionally hilarious, but I think these people have been duped by the genius of Psy! ;D It's almost like he's playing on the "aren't foreigners funny" mindset that loads of Westerners have. Psy is pulling a Crank on these fools! I find it even funnier for that!

The video is similar to that shit "Party rock is in the house tonight" song. Or whatever its called. Simple music and bad lyrics.

Not much is grabbing my attention these days that isn't extreme in some way.... and this is pretty extreme. The Algorithm I think it's a one man electronic manipulator a bit like Aphex Twin, but he bases most of his music around a heavy guitar sound. If you want a taste of IDM-Prog-Djent-step then give it a listen. If you want an explanation of what any of that means, then you'll have to use Google! ;D Isometry by The Algorithm
