Diana Krall, Glad Rag Doll. While not as much of a departure as I would've expected -- she worked with producer T-Bone Burnett this time, but with a few exceptions (such as covers of Doc Pomus' "Lonely Avenue," Betty James' "I'm a Little Mixed Up," and Buddy & Julie Miller's "Wide River to Cross") she mostly sticks to 1920s and '30s material -- she does sound like she had fun recording this. (Plus, her hubby plays on and/or lends vocals to 4 of the 13 tracks.)

I've only just started listening to The Stone Roses the past week or so (yes I know, what have I been listening to for all this time?!?!)...so I'm strting with their early stuff and progressing!
Also: Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the edge of town. One of my all-time favourite albums/artists! The Smiths Joy Division Toots and the Maytals
I've listened to the last four for a long time but recently I've been listening to them all the time!

I didn't discover the Stone Roses' self-titled debut until about three years ago, and I fell in love with it. *** Recent purchases I've been playing quite a bit in the past couple of weeks: Wanda Jackson -- Unfinished Business (working with producer Justin Townes Earle this time) Shoes -- Ignition (their first album in 18 years) and 35 Years (a career-spanning best-of set) The dB's -- Neverland (their first two albums, 1981's Stands for Decibels and 1982's Repercussion, on one disc) Kirsty MacColl -- Desperate Character (first official CD release of her long-of-print 1981 debut LP)

It's a fantastic album!

A couple of classic titles I finally got on CD -- Paul Simon's Hearts and Bones (1983), and Chris Bell's I Am The Cosmos (recorded during the mid-70s, released in 1992).

Has anyone got Spotify? Love it. Yeah, I've had it for ages now. I signed up when it was fully free, but now it seems it's much harder to sign up like that these days.. plus it's swamped with Facebook connectivity which makes me sick! haha But other than that, yes, it is good! I made a playlist on there of music in Shane Meadows films. You can still find it I think. Not updated for ages though,

Canadian band called Structures... their debut album called Divided By. I won't link to it as it will be loathed by most sane people!
