ahh yes, I remember this from somewhere... very amusing! I'm pretty sure that the same folk also did one of the Esure ad too with Michael Winner and his legendary "Calm down dear". Any links to that? FOUND IT: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3638070067334601051&q=esureLove the Winner's 'collision face'.

I'd be up for this, always looking for an excuse to make a new film.
With the themes, how about we have about 3 or 4 different ones and the film maker choses the one he'd prefer. Rather than just one theme.

Best of luck to all who enter, I wish had a clue about filmaking otherwise I'd probably have a bash my self although having said that i have watched Tank and Shags tutorial so you never know. Incidentally the bloke who owns Ocean Finance (Paul Newey) was a couple of years above me at school and is now worth millions (Tamworth's richest man apparently at approximately £250 millon) maybe i could get him as a guest star (highly doubt it) and blow his brains out!

Don't worry about never having made a short film before. Hopefully when things get sorted, the final competition will aim to be as inclusive as possible, and actively encourage beginners to get involved (after-all, that's the Meadows ethos!).
A good idea will be far more important than any camera wizardry. The most lo-fi of production can be completely captivating with a good idea behind, just as a slick, pro-level production can't hide a bad idea.

Come on, you know you want to. That's twice now, you've said best of luck, etc., etc. I looks like you're itching to give it a go. Throw caution to the wind.
