That's a very silly question. You must be a youth councellor. But one you don't have an answer to, nonetheless. "Because all the cool kids were doing it"? Habit? So that you can take offence at FILMS? My word, sir. Your swastika analogy was so off the mark that I don't know if you're just here to stir up a debate, because you surely can't be genuine. Nobody is that oversensitive in this day and age. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4178643.stmHow far off the mark is that? You and John can't carry on a topic without acting like total prats can you? Cool down there steam boat willy. You think i'm being over sensitive? Listen, I'm not here to take the piss out of anyone, i'm concerned about another film reannouncing skinheads as racists. That's it. Why I continue to be a Skinhead, and I assure you, i'm am quite genuinely that, is far above the fashion and attitudes that can be expressed in any movie or book. At the premier of American History X, my friend and his pregnant girlfriend were treated to a fountain drink dumped on them and the girl was called a "Fucking Nazi Whore" by a group of regular people. My friends were were wearing 2Tone, and Trojan patches on their coats. Think what you want. Seriously. I enjoy Shane Meadows movies, I particularly liked "Once upon a time in the midlands" but it wouldn't matter who directed this. You know that some people will believe anything they are told in a movie because it's safer to assume the film was researched rather than research for themselves. (side note, if you're going to comment to this, use your brains, not your ass. You do nothing but make yourself look like an idiot rather than project a point)

Canuckskin: The fact that you liked 'Once Upon A Time' best says it all really. (Im not dissing it, I like it a lot, but in relation to the other three its average).
Also the fact that you said 'I'm not anti-fascist' makes me wonder about you anyway.

There's no accounting for taste, is there? Also the fact that you said 'I'm not anti-fascist' makes me wonder about you anyway. Wonder away. Do I need to tow some political line to be a Skinhead? Wonder about yourself. If you're so hip around here, why aren't you a member? And John, why pray tell, would "Fuckers" be chasing you, hmmm? This is hilarious. (And Entertaining)

I've just deleted a few posts from this thread, because I don't want people posting info and pics of other people without their permission. I know that JT took it in good humour, but I suspect that many people would not.
I'm pretty sure most people have made their points now. The thread seems to have crossed the boredom threshold and is now treading water. Anything new to say is welcome of course, but dishing out petty slaggings to people you don't agree with doesn't really get us anywhere.

When did I ever say I was 'hip'?
I am a member on here but I'm too lazy to log on and I always forget my password.
I never said you had to 'toe the line', but I don't understand how anyone with a bit of intelligence could not be anti-fascist (oh, hang on, I answered my own question there).
Just out of interest what films and directors do you like?

Just out of interest what films and directors do you like? What films/Directors do I like? Well, “What to do in Case of Fire” (German) “Intermission” “24 hour Party people” “Killing Zoe” and “Return of the Living Dead” for example. I really like Tom Tykwer’s Directing style as well. Where's the money Ronnie came on late one night, I thought it was pretty clever.

Tom Tykwer did "Run Lola Run" I HATED "American History X" Nazi Skinheads playing basketball? Cheapest skins on celluloid since "Skinheads: Second coming of Hate" - with Chuck Conners, and trust me, that was CHEAP... I liked "Made in Britain" and "Mean Time" Then there's movies like "I.D." and "Scum" that really had nothing to do with skinheads per say, but of similar relevance. Those were pretty damn good too. Wasn't a big fan of "the Believer" Romper stomper was alright, I suppose, but it was more violence then character development. Have any of you seen Ken Loach's "Riff Raff"? Yet another movie starring Robert Carlyle and Ricky Tomlinson. Probably one of the best british films ever made.

I've not seen Riff Raff but I've seen most of his others. He's from the same town as me.

you see even gobby john, hip mark and skinhead canuck can have a grow up talk once in a while.
I know ive posted this on another board but i need any one with a brain to watch Primer, the best time travel sort of movie ever. A real struggle to understand but interesting as fuck. What did you make of Crash canuck? If there was ever a more obvious and stereotypical view of racism in a movie i aint seen it. Oddly enough i found it ok to watch but i felt conned for doing so.
