Eep! I'm the only person posting right now. Thanks for the mention though! I read another interview with Mark Herbert a few days ago. It doesn't really have any spoilers, but I was intrigued by his revelation that they had gathered the old cast from the film and got them to come up with story arcs. It reminded me of the workshops that were done in the production of This is England and I thought it was nice to see that they were keeping with the same ethos of allowing the actors to have a hand in developing their characters. This is part of why Shane and Mark are so amazing! www.knutsfordguardian.co.uk/news/4657266.Film_producer_Mark_Herbert__who_lived_in_Holmes_Chapel__to_appear_in_movie/

Sorry this is a bit late to this thread
How about Paddy as Richard? Combo comes back and tries to turn Anthony. Richard turns up and gets a touch medieval on Combo?
That would be a stunning scene to see, but I;d be happy to see Paddy and Shane do anything together.

I'd fucking bust a nut to see a scene where Richard meets Combo. Comic relief special perhaps?

This might have been said somewhere else (in which case I apologise) but it has been revealed on Twitter that the director of the first two episodes of TIE'86, will be Tom Harper, director of 'The Scouting Book for Boys'. A great choice, obviously. Not only talented, but he has worked with Jack Thorne and Tommo before. He also mentioned that he had been at some of the casting auditions with Shane. wenbingintwitter.appspot.com/tomharps

Never noticed the thread had been updated with a name for the series. I like the name it is spot on, and makes me more intriged to see when it comes on tv. This of all Shane's films i have watched only twice and did not enjoy as much as his other work, dont get me wrong i do like it, but this could build on This is England for me character wise, explaining more story to give a real closesure than the film and make me appreciate more. Also the goss on Paddy being invovled is a plus because every Shane film with Paddy in has been his finest. Basic Meadows maths film formula: Shane + Paddy = His finest work A Room for Romeo Brass Dead Mans Shoes Both absolute classics!! The rewatch facter in these films is immense on so many levels!! Gone abit dry at late with goss, come on Shane keep us keen.
