Excellent!!! Sounds great.
*Cue a million "giz a job" threads asking for roles in the series.

Any news on this? I need to know what happened to Milky! Yeah. I had an idea of something like he'd had a bit of brain damage, or some lasting effect of the brutal kicking he recieved, to really link into what happened directly. And it'd also be a test of Andrew Shin's acting prowess too. Although the whole whirlwind of activity Tommo got himself caught up in, at the end of TIE he seemed very disallusioned, and more confused about it all at the end of the film. I wonder what he's like as a 16 year old, as young lads develop a lot in that small space of time. It's going to be awesome to find this out.

it's going to be interesting to see if tomo's story continues to be based on shane's own life/experiences or deviates off at a different tangent. think this is a great idea though, there were so many unknowns come the end of the film that it left you wanting more, and the thought of a sequel seemed unlikely somehow...

Milky may be totally okay of course.... see deleted scene on DVD for details.

But then we wouldn't have that perfect look into the lens 400 Blows moment... or maybe have it before then? Maybe it wouldn't be as powerful. Those final deleted scenes are so beautiful and moving though. Glad BB has been axed. Even happier to see the money being used for something decent. Nice one Channel 4.. for once.

There's an interview with Shane in The Sun, which says that he is hoping to cast Paddy Considine (which they misspell) as one of the new characters in 'We Were Faces'. It also mentions that Combo will make a return in a later episode. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/2663638/Shane-Meadows-wants-Paddy.htmlSounds great! I wonder when the official cast list will be released? I'm hoping just about all the old gang is back.

Thanks! I just found this as well: showbiznews.virginmedia.com/entertainment/news/showbiz/2009/10/02/shane_on_this_is_england_spin_offSo it seems like Joe Gilgun and Vicky McClure will also be back - hopefully Andrew Shim as well! (They would never recast, surely?) A wedding that doesn't happen? I wonder why - does it all go sour? Maybe that's where Paddy Considine comes in? Or Milky... It says it all goes darker again with Combo coming back. The eventual collapse of the gang too? I can't wait - it sounds great! If Paddy Considine really does sign up as well, then I might just have to explode at the level of awesome coming from my screen!
