Thanks for the update and congrats to you and the missus for the small one. Shame about KOTG. Hope things get sorted. Very intrigued by the new project. Keep me that way. ;D

Many thanks. It went very well yesterday, they loved the first episode and We have been commissioned to write a second episode and if that goes well we should get it commissioned in the next couple of months.
It won't be broadcast until summer next year (fingers crossed) but that is actually pretty good news as it means I can get cracking on my next feature. I have pitched the basic idea to Tessa Ross and Peter Carlton at Film4 and they seemed over the moon with it, so we are looking very good for a september shoot 2010 release.
We are in final discussions about Le Donk (also with C4) and I should have some dates for broadcast fairly soon. It will defo be on this year hopefully by summer at the latest. We are thinking of launching it a the Big Chill' festival and doing a DVD release that will contain hours of bonus stuff too.
Right, I'm off to mothercare with the Girlfriend to buy my lad a bouncy in the doorway thing and some nappies for myself.
X.

Congratulations on your private and professional life Shane, I hope it continues for you. There was mention once on the forum about you doing a film about a young prostitute and a few of us thought that you doing a film with some kind of feminist angle in it would be interesting. Will this ever be happening, it would be really interesting to see how you covered female emotions as you covered so many emotions in DMS that's all.

I recently thought Jamie Winston would be perfect for the role of 'Mary' so maybe we should resurrect it, a five day feature???

I remember auditioning for Mary and it was very close to going ahead, but then you did TIE. That story is great and Jamie is lovely...amazing actress. I really like her, we chatted the other week about workin together one day, how strange. Everyone says she looks like me, same pointy chin.
I guess im far too old now, its a shame we never made that film together Shane. It would of been a great experience, tough, but very powerful.
Good luck with it, if you do it....i think it would be a great 5 day project, look what you did with Somerstown...
Jo xx
