comiserations to tomo turgoose, but to get nominated for such an award on your first acting role is pretty impressive - I'm sure there'll be many more in the future.....
awards are on ITV2 tonight at 9....

Booo - the one bit I was waiting for (Shane's award) and they pretty much cut it from the TV coverage. Oh well, it was worth watching for the double act that is Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon!!

So peeved that they didn't show Shane's Award. Imagine if the oscard did that to Scorsese or something...It'd never happen. Not usually one to swear on this forum but what fuck wits!

Tommo should have won best newcomer, Sam Riley is so overhyped in 'Control'
Hope someone can get hold of the speech somewhere along the way. Maybe a friendly email to Empire Dave? It worked for me with the BAFTA speech for Paddy.
Well done Shane, don't let the (actual) weight of these awards slow you down mind!

It's pretty ridiculous really, it was the best award of the night and im not being biast at all.
Matts and Pauls was good and so was James's intro for Keira, oh and they missed the big award for inspiration in movies too, he rocked! but....
Paddys introduction was amazingly heartfelt, well chosen words and Shane will be pissed as the one guy he talked about, who had helped him so much at the beginning of his career, he was mentioned several times and he dedicated his award to him. Really lovely acceptance speach very moving...
I hope Dave gets hold of it from Empire... I have Hannah Duncan's contact if you need it Dave. Send me a PM..

it was very annoying that they skimmed over shane's award, although it was made up for in part by that guys acceptance speech for kiera knightly which was piss funny... you can read the speech here but it's not the same really is it...? SPEECHLESS |
