Thanks anyway Jill but unfortunately the link still won't work for me Anybody else know of any alternatives ? That weird TV site just plays the video from Google Video in a window.... so instead, why not just try the Google Video page instead: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8365216772947685768

Cheers Dave ;D I loved it !! Great to see the boys back in action and loved the tribute to Cory & Trevor, plus a few more one liners destined for TPB classic status. Just goes to show dope economics are all down to supply and command P.S. Any bets on Jim Lahey drinking before episode 10 ? ;D

Just thought I'd let you know that I had the last two days off work and therefore a bit of time to kill so I thought I'd get on that TV links site and check out trailer park boys....
Managed to watch the first series and the first half of the second - thought it was brilliant - as everyone seems to have said, takes a couple of episodes to get into it but once it gets going it's very funny.....
my own personal highlight had to be ricky getting that job as cart supervisor at the mall, sliding down that bank......also loved the way randy got a lot fatter between series....
and another thing, I recently watched some canadian stand-up comic who claimed that, contrary to what south park says, canadian people say do not say 'aboot' rather than 'about'.....he should watch this show.....i think the accents/hair/clothes are quality and even though it's set in a canadian trailer park - i recognised a few people I know in some of the characters....
I'm looking forward to going through the rest of the episodes on there and getting a few of my mates into this.....

Good to have another fan on board! I work with two Canadians and they insist that it's 'oat' and not 'oot'; so 'aboat' and not 'aboot.' Either way it is pretty funny, although not being TPBs fans, my colleagues are baffled by my amusement at their accents.
Watched episode 2 of 7 today. Watched it in 3 parts during coffee breaks and on my PC, so not ideal, but dunno thinks it's starting to look/sound very samey?? Liked Ricky's nurturing of his little surrogate raccoon and, as ever, he had some great lines-'against my vice-principals', and 'are you the father of my baby?', but think it really needs a good storyline-something to build as the season progresses??

I've seen S7E2 now too. I reckon it's possibly my least favourite episode ever... so far! It wasn't bad though. Even though I've not seen the full 10 episodes of this series yet, it's beginning to feel like they've spread their ideas a bit thin. Perhaps it should have been another 6 episode season? I agree Jill that Ricky and the 'ray-cun' bit was nice, complete with Trailer Park Boys sentimental music backing! These first two episodes have seemed to be more about setting up the rest of the series than fully featured stories in their own right. Can't wait to see Bubbles go to the model train convention hosted by Sebastian Bach of Skidrow! haha. I'm sure that must happen, because I know for sure that Sebastian Bach appears in this series. My favourite bit in this episode may have been Lahey's encounter with Sam Losco at the liquor store. "Don't think I haven't noticed all your sly little caveman references!" haha It was great that Sam was trying to buy booze for kids waiting out side. Perfect for his character... the greasy caveman! Hey BillyWizz.... nice to have you onboard! I reckon that the first episode of series 2 where Ricky gets the job at the mall is one of my favourites. I still fondly remember the first time I watched Bubbles talking about his carts business. "It's like a fucking gold-mine down there! I'll be back for those cock-suckers later!"

Yeah, it all seems like a lot of random fragments of stories strung together at the moment and the Ray/Bubbles scene with the car was pretty pointless. The Bubbles' model train convention is promising tho' (I really liked the episode where the boys 'play astronauts' ) Wish we could see a bit more of Bubbles as philosopher-that aspect of his persona has been lost of late. Also, would be interesting to see Ricky with another love interest maybe...clearly, with Babs Lahey he was only in it for the sandwiches-awesome

I was just thinking that the tone of this new series, especially episode 2, is somehow different. Many of the characters don't seem to be their old selves. I don't mean like Lahey being sober, I think that is working okay (but there is surely a relapse coming!).... but other characters:
J-Roc just seems weird now. Decked out in his full pimp suit. J-Roc was always funny before because the character was never aware of how ridiculous his actions and sayings were.... but now J-Roc is almost a parody of old J-Roc. Seems odd. I guess it makes sense in that he is getting older, but I'm not entirely convinced.
Ray and Randy both seemed to be overly confrontational in this last episode... to a degree that didn't quite fit with what we have ever seen of them before.
Julian barely seems to be involved yet. Delivering pizzas in episode one? That was very odd. Okay, he needed cash for his lot fees or what-have-you, but he'd never have gone for a regular job in the past no matter what the circumstances... and a pizza delivery job? No chance! Do we forget so soon about Julian deriding Ricky when he had his cart corale job?

It's those little jokes like Julian and his rum and coke at all times that you kind of take for granted after not too long. It's good to be reminded of how funny I used to find it. If you haven't got to the end of series 2 yet, you're in for a great gag involving Julian and his drink! Taking Julian's rum and coke for granted after being so familiar with it, is also very similar to how I now just take Randy being topless as a given. For many episodes it kept me amused at how ridiculous it was. Goes to show how quickly you can get accustomed to something like that. Unrelated.... just remembered one fo my favourite visual gags in TPB ever! Because the show has to blur out product names and such like, you often get blurred areas of the screen and blurred items. I think it's the beginning of series 2 that there is a great visual gag about it. They blur out a cats face in a couple of scenes with no explanation at all. That is genius!

If you haven't got to the end of series 2 yet, you're in for a great gag involving Julian and his drink! It was Julian ubiquitous rum and coke that got me into TBP. My son watched it religiously and I would just catch the odd five minutes here and there. It was probably the fourth or fifth time I had caught a snippet that I noticed it..and yes it was hilarious. I assume you're alluding to the car gag Dave?? Yeah, I laughed out loud at that bit. On the subject of things that are just hysterical on first, second, third viewing etc, but are then taken for granted, I really love the way the boys'll stop mid-way through a gun battle and say 'stop firing, somebody's hurt here' Plus, Ricky's fighting, which consists of a lot of chasing around and then bear hug wrestling with no real violence. We've said before that TPB is not, or not just, stoner humour, but this IMO is a classic bit of stoner humour and it's magic ;D I hope season 7 picks up a bit; the quality's been great throughout 1-6. I agree though that Ricky aside, none of the characters seem to be on top form.......still long way to go. Edit: The conflict between the characters -Randy and Ray, Randy and Barbara, Ray and Bubbles etc is just not TPB is it? The joy of it is that the characters, with a few greasy exceptions, are so good natured; this is missing at the moment maybe?

Just watched episode 3: Uum, odd this has to be the WORSE STORYLINE EVER-bizarre, and it confounds everything I've said recently-the documentary pretense is back and Ricky inflicting real fisticuffs violence (albeit with no real malice intended)...BUT it doesn't matter!! TPB is back to its best!! This episode was fantastic!! *Highlights for me: a welcome return for Donny (or is that 'Danny' ?) in the opening scene-splendid; Ricky hot-knifing the butter; scene where the boys transport Randy, Phil Collins and Lahey between the trailers; wonderful shot of (pregnant) Lucy, Phil Collins and Randy in profile and this gem:- Ricky: Lucy, you bang the stupidest guys-Randy and George Green- I don't get it.... Ha, ha! marvellous ;D Sorry, showing off now, but just realised that I am going to get to see the final episode of this series on the telly! Edit: * And.....various people battering various people with telephone directories......I have no idea why that's funny, but it is! Edit 2: Bubbles: preposterous Ricky: That's pretty f*cky Ha ha!

"Cinnamon cocks!!" I'm getting all behind now Not had time to watch episode 3 yet. I did watch the opening couple of minutes and saw Randy climbing on a bin or something to reach Sheryl's nest of dope plants! That had me cracking up already. Just that bit made me think it was back on comedy form! It's definitely a slightly more surreal humour that though... but I'm all for it. I just took a photo of myself giving the This Is England 18 cert the double whammy at work. I have since thought better of posting on the web though... I could get in trouble or something... hehe.

That's not very TPB Dave ;D Know what you mean tho', there are so many occasions (particularly at work) when I just want to respond/retort to some absolute bollocks with a double whammy!! Anyways, you're going to love this one-it's a 'god damn greasy horror show' ;D Donny: HAVE ANOTHER DRINK RAY Ha ha! TPB is genius!!
