Just wondering whether anyone else here has seen this brilliant Canadian sitcom?
I only found out about it a few weeks ago, and a friend sent me discs of all six series! I started watching series one and thought, "it's alright, sometimes funny".... but as with all good sitcoms, once you get to know the characters, it all becomes ten times funnier. I'm just getting into series 3 now, and the quality has got better and better as series have progressed so far! There is even a feature film in the works for release in October, but maybe only in Canada and American, because it seems pretty unknown here. I think it is shown on the Paramount comedy channel.
I recommend it to anyone into good comedies (and most people here seem to be!).

I've only watched an episode or two at half concentration and never got into it, but I might give it a fair go when I get round to it. With Arrested Development, I wasn't convinced until I watched about twelve episodes. And now I've seen the whole series and am gutted there won't be any more.

That's funny.. I have watched about 3 episodes of Arrested Development, and it just didn't grab me at all. Not sure if I could take another 9 episodes before I could possibly start liking it.
With Trailer Park Boys, I pretty much liked it from the off, but only found it mildly amusing. About three episodes later I was sucked right in!

Yeah, i discovered it about 18 months ago on 'Paramount' channel. Absolutely love it, Ricky and J-Roc are my fave characters, 'know wha'm sayn!'. Love Lahey as well, all his little 'shit' phrases crack me up! Oohh......Conky too, have you seen that episode with Bubble's puppet that is a spitting image of him, and it keeps taking the piss out of Ricky!! Great accents too!!

Welcome to the site Dag! Good to have another highly intelligent person on the site (intelligence estimated from your enjoyment of Trailer Park Boys! ). Not seen the Conky episode yet, but I have seen pictures of Bubbles with Conky... Trailer Park Supervisor, Jim Lahey's 'shit' quotes are amazing! haha His assistant Randy is also constantly hilarious in his topless state with gut on parade. "We're sailing into a shit-storm Randy, so we better haul in the jib before it gets covered with shit" "When you keep getting shit-balls thrown at you, you've gotta get a shit-bat" "Never cry shit-wolf" "Here comes Captain Shittacular!" "We're in the eye of a shiticane here Randy" "Do you know what a shit-rope is Julian? It's a rope covered with shit that criminals try to hang on to"

BLOODY HELL! WATCH THE WHOLE FIRST EPISODE ON GOOGLE VIDEO! video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8011521154587123716There are loads of whole episodes on there... but I really don't advise just jumping in and watching any old episode... there's quite alot of things that happen that are referred to in later episodes, and other stuff that won't make too much sense if you haven't seen previous episodes. Hope people enjoy it!

The more I see of it, the better it gets! I was just reading that when the show started airing in America, all the swearing is bleeped out! Ha ha... if you know the show, then you will know that you will simply end up with a bleep extravaganza.

Ah yes, but the wiley-eyed among you will notice that all those bleeps put together spell C*NT in Morse code

Hell yeah! hahah.... just got an email from the Trailer Park Boys mailing list saying that the new site is up for the Trailer Park Boys Movie! With a proper trailer now too! Take a look: www.trailerparkboysmovie.com/The trailer is understandably a bit 'hollywooded' but still feels like they've kept to the brilliant usual style of the series. I just wonder if it will be accesible to total newcomers to the world of Trailer Park Boys.... or if it will even get a release in the UK. ............ actually, watching the trailer again and imagining I knew nothing of the Trailer Park Boys sitcom, I don't know what I would make of that trailer. Probably think it's a bit crap infact! haha oh dear.

As so many of you have been literally gagging to get a look at this amazing sitcom ( )... you'll all be pleased to here that the box set of season 1 and 2 is released in the UK on 9th October! Best sitcom ever. For me it has just stepped ahead of 15 Storeys High now. Mainly because there are so many episodes and it's consistantly brilliant.

good call dave i've just been checking out trailerpark boys on google it's genius by the end of high definition piss jugs i was in pieces bubbles kills me roll on oct 9th Thank the lord! Another person who's seen some of it!! It is genius, you are quite correct! It can take a couple of episodes to get into (familiarise yourself with characters and the set-up), but once you've in, you're hooked! Season one has a slight feel of the idea finding it's feet... it's still great, but Bubbles isn't a regular feature for one thing! The High Definition Piss Jugs Episode is amazing! It's one of the last couple in season 6 which is the most recent series. The Kitty Land Love Centre! I hope the film is available over here at some point. Check these reviews on Amazon.com Amazom.comAnything that provokes such polarised reviews is good in my book!

Series one and two DVD set came out yesterday for the first time on region2 DVD. Bought my copy as soon as possible! Strangely it is an HMV exclusive DVD, so you can't buy it anywhere else! Weird. There must be someone on here brave enough to buy it! I need someone to dicuss it with! Some cool little extras... including the Cart Boy short film which is a short they made before the first series of Trailer Park Boys to explore the character of Bubbles.,.... like anyone cares The Trailer Park Boys movie (The Big Dirty) came out in Canada last Friday. I hope I can get to see it at some point! Ivan Reitman is the producer on the film, which is a surprise.
