I've seen series one so far (and the extras on disc 1 - will have to check out Cartboy soon). After a few episodes, I began to really like it; shame I only have seven episodes left to watch at the moment. I recently watched all three series of Operation Good Guys, and watching TPB reminds me a little of it (the documentary feel). Roll on DVDs of series 3-6 and the film in the UK... That's how I felt when I first watched it. To start with I wasn't sure what to think, but like you say, the characters grow on you. First episode of series 2 is one of my favourite episodes. You may get the same feeling, but the first time I watched episode one of series 2, the quality of it suddenly pulled the whole of series one into perspective. All the characters are suddenly familiar and fully-formed, so you look back on series one and think, "I bet it's funnier when I go back and re-watch it".. and it is! Plus Bubbles becomes the third main character in series 2 to fully compliment Ricky and Julian. Well... I hope that's how it goes for you! Any current highlights of series one for you? "From Russia With the Love Bone?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, etc Just found a clip of Trailer Park Boys pposted on Google Video by someone who thought it was real documentary footage of a stupid dope addled guy in jail. In fact it is one of Ricky's finest moments of dialogue! video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4809103817266492649"I am smart... I'm self smarted.. basically by myself... basically through nature, and smoking drugs and doing different things, I've self....ssss....self .... like.. self learned myself." This is an example of why Trailer Park Boys is genius (in my opinion of course).

Hi all, Cartboy shows for me what can be achieved with a good idea and a little tweaking. The B&W pilot is further evidence of this. The characters of Ricky, Julian, Bubbles and Randy are all there but not quite fully developed. In fact "Randy Bo'Bandy" isn't Randy in the pilot and i'm pretty sure that J-Roc is a policeman !!! The opening scenes of the 1st Season are also the closing scenes of the pilot so that the guy they are shooting at is Randy/Not Randy !!! From there on in though the characters have all developed consistently and at the same pace. Can't wait to see "The Big Dirty" and for those with the Paramount Comedy Channel don't forget Season 6 starts as from next Monday (30th). Just in case anyone is interested in purchasing any more TPB dvd's here is a link to a site that has all the information you might need to convert your dvd player to multi region. www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.asp

???I was lucky enough to find mine on the site. Try a search for DVD players changing region, when I did the search i found lots of sites but beware as some try to charge for the info. Also try the codes given for other models from the same manufacturer as this can sometimes work

I did but you need like a special remote? with buttons on it mine doesnt have The "play, 159) thing seemed like it works on most dvd players and if not then you have to do the stuff with the magical remote. Guh. Usually I'd just watch a dvd thats a diff region on my laptop but its playing up. I'll just get that fixed and just buy a multi region dvd player, would have been great if this "hacking" stuff worked for me I'll have another go tommorow.

Just get holdof the region 2 series one and two set for starters.. it has all the same extras as the region 1 release. 6 seasons! Yes indeed... they just get better and better!

Hi Dave, what did you think of season 6 then ? Possible contender for best ever IMO. The continued stability of the characters is superb yet never boring or predictable. Highlights include Randy's descent into power madness; Barb's growing infatuation with Randy; Kittyland; The Convenients Store, as well as Lahey's continuing obsessions. Here's hoping that The Big Dirty makes it across the pond sooner rather than later. Until then.......

Series 6! Yes indeed. Not only is it still brilliant, it's possibly still getting better. The only downer is that series 6 is only six episodes long, which is a bit of a let-down after the series 3-5 have been about 12 episodes a time. I'm guessing that they filmed these 6 around the same time as they filmed The Big Dirty.
Kitty Land Love Centre! That is a fantastic episode called "High Definition Piss Jugs". Featuring Ricky's Garbage Land (which Bubbles is worried about because people will think Ricky came up with the .... Land name idea first)... luckily(?) for Bubbles, Ricky renames it "Ricky's Used Shit" when he's live on TV. haha
"Bubbles will fucking look after your kitties big time"
I like how Trevor has been letting slip little comments throughout the series that he is possibly 'in the closet'. In series 6 when Ricky gets a snake bite on the cock, they have the usual old joke of Trevor saying, "I've seen it on programmes and stuff, how you've gotta suck out the poison" Ricky replies, "What are you saying Trevor?" Trevor realises where he's heading and changes the conversation, "Can I have a slice of bread please Ray" The way he delivers it is priceless.
"It's the way of the road Bubs"

Hello,
It's a little while since I watched season 6 (try not to 'overview' things I really love), but thought it was splendid! Highlights for me include the scene at the 'moose' in the final episode, with the human shields -I'm coming out'-and Halloween-poor old Mr Lehay, turns out the boys really did turn him into a crazy, drunken, lunatic. Think my favourite bit was at the very end -I'm the sentimental type-when we find out what ''greasy Julian's" been up to (what a top bloke). The piss jugs are gross!
The quality or the appeal hasn't diminished at all over the 6 seasons has it? Amazing really because the basic plot line in each episode is as thin as Scooby Doo (the boys are up to mischief, an increasingly deranged Mr. Lahey and side-kick, set out to get them), but the main characters are just so great-funny, lovable-that you never tire of them.
Read that Cory and the Trevster wont be appearing in season 7. Pity, be interesting to see how they write them out and what sorts of characters replace them!
Jill
