I don't #ff every friday This was a great move for Shane, pulling off such an amazing series is brilliant, especially as everyone was talking about it - you could guarantee that first period on a wednesday would be full of banter about the episode the night before ;D

Shane certainly knows how to pick 'em Some people have complained that the ending was too predictable, not sure whether anyone on here has, but I have seen it elsewhere - but I needed predictable! I'm hoping everyone involved gets their fair share of praise, they certainly deserve it. Not many people can pull off storylines like that, acting and directing wise and get "away with it". It was incredible and certainly one of the most gripping, dramatic and sensational pieces of drama I have ever seen, in fact - I'm sure it is. Nothing has ever made me feel that way (apart from DMS) To everyone involved, thankyou

Yes, he was very good (as usual) bit ironic given the story he had really , considering what we'd seen him do over the past few weeks Alas, I know it's acting and he does a fine job... ;D

I know I don't normally watch it either. It was just on in the background and I looked up, just as he was standing in court! I thought, I recognise him and I kept watching - after about 20 seconds I was like I know who he is! I thought the exact same!! As soon as I realised what the story behind it was, I was like aah, the irony I don't think he was in it for very long, as I didn't see the beginning, but he was brilliant in this too - especially when he was pleading with them to tell the truth (should I say shouting at them!!)

Don't know where to put this/ if it's been mentioned anywhere else, but as this thread acknowledges him, Johnny Harris is on twitter - if anyone's interested here it is: @mrjohnnyharris

**SPOILER ALERT**I heard that channel 4 are defending the 'This is England rape scene', as it had sparked complaints about it actually being broadcast. I am particularly glad that Shane decided to do it that way. Rape is very serious and I'm glad it wasn't glossed over/tossed aside. It's serious and should be treated as such....anyway, here's the article: www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a278616/channel-4-defends-this-is-england-rape.htmlP.S. does this conteract my pathetic Metro article?! ;D P.P.S does this need a spoilery thing?! Yes! Just include it yourself at the beginning of a post. Thanks, Dave - I'll try to remember/do it next time

The Metro is shite. All they seem to do is hang around Twitter all day and then type it up. Lazy slags. ;D

Whoops....probably should have mentioned that, sorry To be honest, I don't even read the metro - I don't even remember how I came across it! It just seems, that they sensationalise the whole thing, by, as you say, using "bad" quotes from twitter - which aren't even that "bad"!! All in all, one of my first contributions to this thread was pretty pathetic!!

Just watched the 3rd episode. I actually am speechless...never has anything ever made me this way (especially a TV programme) It affected me more than I thought - I can't even put into words what I'm feeling - truely powerful and moving. I went from sitting down to standing up with utter shock and distress. Definitely the best piece of drama I've seen in a long while Shane Meadows & co., nice work
