personally i'd like to see two sequels to 'this is england' so as to make up an 80's trilogy. each would feature one or more characters from TIE showing what happened to them over the next few years. would like to see a credible film about football violence and the associated casual scene - but without the usual cockney bollocks, maybe a portrayal of the east midlands rivalries, (i bet kez would be up for this). next film: set in late 80's about the rave scene - maybe a couple of the old gang are now into promoting raves/dealing drugs etc.

I really hope Shane and Paddy can get 'King of the Gypsies' off the ground -- not only because I know it means a lot to them, but also because it just sounds like a cool and interesting project. After that, I would suggest that 'Mary' one as a follow-up...

Just joined the forum after watching 'Dead Man's Shoes' last night - excellent film 9 out of 10 rating! (I gave other recent viewings 'This Is England' 8, 300' 6.5, 'Bourne Ultimatum' 9,)
Anyway, my vote goes to 'King of the Gypsies' - if you can get the money! On that subject...
Regarding all future projects. How about issuing small share certificates for those of us willing to invest a few quid each?
Finally, can I e-mail you the first 10 pages of a completed script for future consideration?

Hey. Will skip the whole crawing-up-your-arse thing. As for a next project, what about something closely connected to alcoholism? "My name is Joe" was a fantastic 'first person' type film that covers a certain area, but you seem to have a talent for telling a tale from an outsiders point of view that tells a unusual tale from all points of view, avoiding all the sympathy votes. A stark realism from a boys point of view that shows the knock effect in his own life from a situation like this would be amazing.
Wish you all the best in whatever you choose to do.
Take it easy...

Think you should do a historical piece on the machine breaking Luddites of the 19th Century. A movement which started in Notts

Id like to see you do a "collaboration" with Edgar Wright or Neil Marshall....or even Christopher Smith for that matter...
Just something...I dont care what...wether it be horror, comedy/horror or drama type film....

I went with Sweet Maria. Most (all?) of your stuff is focused on the outside-of-work, it'd be nice to see you have a go at the England of offices and warehouses and work places. Although this was posted quite a time a go so I presume you already know what you're doing

If you do Sweet Maria, I'm working on a site in Clifton, Nottingham with sixty trowels. If you want some proper lads in the shots working slickly at their tools I can set you up with plenty of folks.

Shane, you could direct the new sitcom i'm writing. It's called 'The Private Life of Adolf Hitler' where Adolf is like a Basil Fawlty character surrounded by nincompoops.

That was a joke BTW, Hitler is the worlds most evil man, but i was watching Fawlty Towers the other day and noticed that Basil Fawlty is just like Hitler when he is going mad.
