What about a re-make of the Karate kid set in Grimsby, with Tommo as the kid and Shane as the mentor

How about tackling the gang war going on between the Meadows, Radford and St Annes areas in Nottingham.. Innocent people are getting caught up (quite literally) in the crossfire (local sales of body armour are booming) Fear of reprisal for standing up against these thugs is not public consent to their lawlesness but in practice doing nothing is just as effective.Silence is consent. The Krays and richardson gangs thrived in London with this strategem in the 60s for a while. We need a hero in a latter day Magnificent seven type clean up of the local bad guys. Maybe Paddy Considine's 'Richard' didn't die after all at the end of Dead man's shoes and is back with a vengence. He could team up with some of his equally tapped (conflict happy) ex - army mates to avenge one of their own that got wasted by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Payback time #2. Bring it on - Yeah! Doing something that is really effective for the community could be the catalyst that helps Richard to deal with his demons and bring him hope for the future. Nah, sod that . Keep him evil (we've already had Robin Hood round here) meadowslad.

In Edinburgh 2004 you mentioned wanting to do a 'proper' Robin Hood. I reckon Paddy'd make an awesome Hood.

I reckon he'd be good as a Pied Piper type character.

I went for Something Else, the story of a Midlands Sid Vicious impersonator on his way to New York to find out what really happened at the Chelsea hotel all those years ago.

I think you should get Samatha Morton to do a film, that would be interesting!Possibly Mary the prostitute!

no matter what the next film is about, i personally would love to see james/colin higgins in it with a starring comedy role as i felt he was outstanding in 24/7 and romeo brass.
