Nice one Shane, seems the film has really touched everyone who's seen it. Will be interesting to see what Wossy makes of it when it goes on general - I remember him giving it a plug when it was still shooting.
I reckon the tickets for the London screening are gonna shift quicker than a nun's first curry... I'm gonna be gutted if I miss this...!

It just get's better! another wicked review. I'm gonna try my best to get to one of the screenings in London, but it's a long way from home and my funds are being constantly drained with buying HUGGIES, Play Doh and Tweenies dvd's! If I don't get there I hope the rest of you lucky bastards enjoy it!

Best of three? To quote Richie from Bottom: "This is the one, this is the BAFTA...."

nice one shane!...on the plus side, this means money in the bank...........but also marks the inevitable death of your more ''underground'' career..............Im sure you'll still reign supreme in the ''commercial'' arena. You had to make the transaction at some point.
PLUS: *smooch* *smooch* *more arse kissing**

You had to make the transaction at some point. I can't imagine there's any such guarantee in this ere film-industry lark. Just wondering..... with alot of positive reviews and press, and no doubt more to come (Rome/London), can such good press have any effect on the release date..... i.e. bring it forward? I can wish. ;D

Great find Dave! I don't think we'll find a better one than that, maybe we should start looking for a crapper?
I can't tell you how amazing all of feels! Everyone involved in this process (Inc everyone on the site) Knows how much of a tug-of-war the film has been to get made, so to come to the world premiere and receive such high praise straight of the bat is kind of mind blowing!
At times in the last year (the editing) when all around (most of the financiers) seemed to want something so different from what I (and warp) was trying to acheive, I felt like pissing off back to Uttoxeter, joining me dad's Harley D club and getting a job at JCB.
But the memory of Midlands lives long and the memory of that one time when I went against my instincts and left the process loved by 'them' but gutted with myself still bubbles in the tripe so I dug in and prepared mesen for battle. To be fair to the financiers, the difference in vision on England was much less pronounced and in the end they all backed me and allowed me to go my own way.
Mark Herbert and Louise have been amazingly supportive and have both shown unflinching beleif. Shimy (Fatback) and Vicky were also on constant tap to view new ideas and listen to me bleating about how lonely London can be when your a midget. Special thanks also goes out to two members of this site who were called in to an emergency london screening to check out the film at an incredibly difficult stage (there were two versions of the film circulating, one I hated but the financiers loved and visa vera) and they helped cement that I was on the right tracks, so thanks very much for that! And finally of course to Dave, who should of been at that screening but for the fact that his local train company charge £300,000 pounds to travel before 9am.
Thank the lord it seems to be paying at the mo and the future is looking bright.
Peas.
Shady.

Dave's gotta be one. The other, Comp? Flash? Whoever they are, they kept it quiet! It wasn't me..... but I know who it was! This could make for a fun 'Guess Who' style game.

Not me, mate. Though I do write reviews for God Is In The TV if Shane's interested I'd put money on it being Comp though, because... 1. He knows more about films than the bloke who runs Barry Norman & Roger Ebert's pirate video market stall 2. He's got an all-over number one!
