I'm gonna buy Suspiria next time I go out, as long as its not over £15. How'do Hyde, you might need this then www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/107620/Suspiria/Product.htmlAll this talk of Argento's tempting me to revisit the Stendhal Syndrome, drove me up the wall the first time i watched it.

I’m sold on The Departed – even Scorsese’s lesser films are still fascinating, IMO.
JT – is Rum Diary still happening? The last I heard Bruce Robinson was set to direct but information seems to have dried up. Strangely enough, Benicio del Torro was actually set to direct it four or five years ago…

As far as i know comp it is still on and i think and hope bruce is still involved. Last i heard it should be out next year but it has been 4 years in the pipe line now.........since Johnny depp took up the rights to it. With Depp behind it and bruce on board we should get past some bullshit studio big wigs and get something better that fear and loathing.
I always found the rum diaries the best thing hunter wrote. RIP.

Clint Eastwood's next film(s) looks pretty special.
"Flags Of Our Fathers" telling the story behind the band of US Marines that held the flag up upon Iwo Jima during the bloody conflict with the Japanese there. Not a lot of big names star, but most will be familiar with Jamie Bell playing a US GI.
As well as "Flags..." he's filming another movie to be released straight after it showing the battle from a Japanese perspective. This looks a pretty unique project, more of a "Thin Red Line" than "Saving Private Ryan". I think Eastwood will do pretty well with this one myself.
As well as that, obviously "This Is England" and "Clerks 2" is making salivate at the prospect.

I think the companion piece is called Red Sun, Black Sand, or something similar. I cannot wait for these either.

I'm really interested in Paddy's "The Backwoods" film as well.
And the Tenacious D movie.

Watched sympathy for mr vengance last night and thought it was great, not as good as oldboy in my opinion but still a very well shot movie and a refreshing way of story telling. I will now go and get lady vengance to complete the 3.
