There are some pretty decent-looking films on the horizon - things are certainly looking up, eh?

Apart from Shane's new'un...
Hot Fuzz Clerks 2 Highlander 5 (Yes, I know it's going to be shit)
There's nothing else that comes right to mind that I am looking forward to enough to rush out on opening night for (or buy the DVD on the release date, in the case of Highlander).

In no order... some stolen from comps list, no idea about the Argento, Scorsese, and Lynch film, but I like the directors (tbh havnt seen an Argento film but really want to) Zodiac sounds good to, I like his work, and saw ages ago on IMDB that he was making a serial killer film with Jake Gyllanhal in it.
1. This Is England (Shane Meadows) 2. The Third Mother (Dario Argento) 3. The Departed (Martin Scorsese) 4. Inland Empire (David Lynch) 5. Backwoods 6. Hot Fuzz 7. Zodiac 14. Tideland (Terry Gilliam) 167. Clerks 2

Argento has been planning to make the film since finishing Inferno in 1980! The Departed in Scorsese’s remake of the Hong Kong flick, Infernal Affairs. The films stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Ray Winstone. Not much is know about Inland Empire but Lynch’s films are ALWAYS worth watching

As already mentioned... Tideland!!! Can't wait! Oh, and This Is England Zodiac too (I'm sure I read somewhere that the title has been changed to Chronicles). Hot Fuzz I see you have World Trade Centre on your list there Companero... have you seen the trailer yet? It may make you ill.

No worries – maybe we can use this thread to flag any other films that may be of interest as and when we find them.

I saw the trailer and yeah, it does look very, very sentimental and over patriotic but being an Oliver Stone film, I’m hoping this is just a reflection of how the studio might be taking the film out of context just to sell it. Can you really imagine Stone pandering to the Bush administration’s ideology? I certainly expect more from him…

Yeah good idea.
and thanks for telling me about them, I'm gonna buy Suspiria next time I go out, as long as its not over £15.
Not to keen on this Internal Affairs remake, heard good things about the film but a remake?
as for Lynch, I've only seen Blue Velvet, but picked up Mullholland Drive and looking forward to watching it.
as for Terry Gilliam, Only seen Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but picked up Twelve Monkeys so I'll give that a watch to.
