Hoorah, this one was much better. Even had a bit of sentimental music.....not sure what was sadder tho', Julian's sensitive let down, or the entry of the greasy caveman Wish they'd stop all this unnecessary and unfunny 'rooster nuts' malarkey tho'. Be interesting to watch the whole season again in a couple of months.

All variations on 'cock'... although the last one he uttered in anger gave me a grin: "Alfred HitchCOCK!"

We have but scratched the surface! What about philosophy and/in TPB or psychology and TPB, or politics and TPB??? Ha, ha ;D
Guess the train track 'plot' also suggests a possible physics in the TPB-I'll happily leave that one to you Dave ;D

Jump the Cheeseburger/Jump the Shark? Dunno, suppose the jury has to stay out until the end of the season.
There is a lot of speculation now that season 7 will in fact be the last one. Not sure how I feel about that (if it turns out to be true). On the one hand, life without the prospect of another series of TPB will be a little poorer; on the other hand, it would be a travesty if the show carried on and produced a lot of rubbish that tainted the memory of the magic stuff that had gone before.
If this is the last series, I really hope that Clattenburg puts One Last Shot on the extras, if it's in his power to do so.

Bring back Conky and get him to fetch a tanker full of liquor for Lahey. Haha, but I've always liked the fact they have never brought Conky back because the show has (had?) real integrity and wouldn't ever stoop to such blatant crowd pleasing antics. Watching season 7 however, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought Conky back. Obviously it has the potential to be funny, but I think it would be another potential nail in the Sunnyvale coffin. And lo, it would seem Conky is back. This series is a pale reflection of TPB's former glory. I wouldn't be surprised if they called it a day after this. Still, the last two episodes have been above average...

Hey fil, I really loved 8!!! Hated 'sugar cocks', but thought the rest of it was TPB almost back to its best. I'll try not to post a lot of spoilers, but a highlight for me was Lahey! Superb. Lots of little jokes I liked too. Noticable example of a re-working of an old joke, but at least it was a classic (who can forget 'I'm not Mr. Lahey', when he was caught by Julian in Mr. Lahey's got my porno tape? ;D) Not sure how I feel about Conky; but think that Bubble's alternative story about his origins is understandable given the rather strange relationship between the two of them;D. The storyline is starting to come together now too. Splendid!

Kind of agree. I thought this episode was better than most of them, but not quite as good as last weeks. Wasn't there a contradiction with the Conky back story? I thought that in series 4 the story was that Bubbles made it at school? But now the story is that Bubbles dad was a ventriloquist and gave it to him. I guess the first story still works, because there's no way Bubbles made the head of Conky is there.
I'm not sure that Conky is going to lead to a laugh-riot. Especially with how the series has been in general. It does also annoy me a bit that another strand of the shows integrity goes to the way-side by revisiting Conky. Well, in my opinion anyway.

Wasn't there a contradiction with the Conky back story? Know what you mean, but I think that given how f*cked the relationship is between Bubbles and Conky, he might easily have made up a story about his origins?? Stretching congruity a bit I know, but then again it is Conky! Loved the bit when Lahey was on the roof of the trailer with the gun ;D If this was the final series, I'd think the return of Conky was affectionate, but since it's probably not, well yeah a bit cheap I suppose.

Think it would be pretty funny if Bubbles reconstructs him as Scorpion ;D

Cheers Hi Dokdrain, Google 'Trailer Park Boys 705/706/707/708' and it takes you to a site called gofish (I think). Bit frustrating-sometimes it plays straightaway, sometimes it takes eons to load.

Just watched episode 6 - slight improvement. Looking forward to 7 & 8 from what you have all been saying. Other than the beginning of Episode 6 with Ricky doing his tumbles, I thought that it was one of the biggest stinkers! haha I'm sure you'll like 7 and 8 alot more. 7 is best though! Episode 6 was too few characters and in a forest. Just didn't feel right. Plus I still don't know why the two chumps that Jacob Collins hangs round with never talk. Probably written into their contracts. A definite problem with this series it that it isn't really focussed on the 'the boys' anymore. The episodes are all over the shop, focusing on different characters each time. The good old way of TPBs was that the focus was the boys, and all the extra characters influenced proceedings without becoming the centre of attention.
