Well in some ways it's good.. if season 7 was anything to go by, but it is still a sad announcement.
Still good to see that there are still two major additions to the Trailer Park Boys history in the form of a special and another movie. Must mean that the good performance the first film did at the Canadian box office alone is enough to seal the deal for a sequel.
Bring on the special!

Well neither one of us has kept up with the S7 DVD release.....says it all really doesn't it? I remember (vaguely) reading that S7 and the movie were written simultaneously, while S7 was actaully being filmed....sounds very like all the joy had been sucked out of it doesn't it?. But they took a break between the end of S7 and the special and movie, so hopefully that means they'll be back to their best for the finale. Hope so, it deserves to go out with something really special. Sounds like Lahey's going to have a starring role it the movie; smart move. It's the right decision, but yeah I'm kind of sad too.......definitely one of the all time best TV comedies...and really can't think of another comedy where I've laughed at the characters so much, while also feeling for them so much.

I've seen it! Say Goodbye to the Bad Guys.
I better not spoiler it all, but suffice to say, I thought it was an excellent return to classic form!
There was one line from J-Roc which cracked me to a ridiculous degree. ;D

Agreed! Pretty dense with all that trying to squeeze everybody in going on, but some classic lines...think my favourite was Bubble's 'I'm being busted for making balony sandwiches' Oh and Ricky's attempt to out dirty Cyrus in dirty dancing...crude but very funny

Agreed! Pretty dense with all that trying to squeeze everybody in going on, but some classic lines...think my favourite was Bubble's 'I'm being busted for making balony sandwiches' Oh and Ricky's attempt to out dirty Cyrus in dirty dancing...crude but very funny Well, might as well start SPOILERING. The line that cracked me up like crazy was J-Roc referring to Randy as "Marty McGravy". It was one of those ridiculous laughs that just flies out of you without warning. haha. Not sure why. I think it was because by at that point I had forgotten that it was a DeLorean being driven about! ;D Mr Lahey (Dunsworth) is just sublime when doing his drunken acting. It's unbelievable quality! "Such a shame you fell for such a sexy trick Julian" It was good that Lahey didn't mouth off a load of shit phrases. There were a couple.. just enough! Too many, and it would feel like too much crowd pleasing and pandering to the audience. Only after it finished did I realise there was no Corey and Trevor... and then recalled previous stories and the real-life slanging match. I didn't miss them at all as I was watching it. They didn't even occur to me. Would have been great if they had been in it though all the same. Was that Trinity hosing down Randy? haha Was hard to tell. I liked Ricky and Lucy patting down the baby with slices of bread to remove Randy's oil and sweat! haha. Seagulls in the dump was great because it wasn't over-played. Just a couple of quick references to it. Especially funny when Ray talking about the marks on his neck caused by the seagulls attacking him... coming down at nipping at him. "That's real greasy!" says Bubbles! ;D Oh, and good to see the in-joke in the junk yard... all the gallon containers of piss!

Ha, ha! Marty McLarge Fries was my favourite line in that bit......I was waiting for some De Lorean jokes though.....loved 'sexy trick' too. Sorry, my memory's shocking...but Lahey's '360 degrees shit......and when it comes around. I'll be waiting for you'' line was my favourite shit joke..........And just remembered, the funniest bit....Ricky going on about food when they're being arrested....'I'm fucking starving....burgers and pizza.....(to the cops) we're stopping off for food on the way' ;D Magic stuff.
Lahey's kissing bit reminded me of Cloughie....he IS the best drunk ever...I'd say 1) Lahey; 2) Withnail and 3) Cloughie ;D
Hope they make the second movie for the fans this time....think it was the effort to make The Big Dirty a bit of a promotional piece that made it a bit disappointing. But, yeah, great stuff....back to near best I'd say..

finally watched my first episode the other night, were the guys where robbing meat and selling off in a carpark, quite funny especially the freezer scene, you just knew how it was going to end up haha. Ive series linked it on all week i think, now they put it in place of south parks slot on comedy central. Dave is your avatar the dumb guy from the show or your self?

Sadly it is the character Bubbles from TPB.
It shows that you're a junior watcher of TPB, because Bubbles is actually the least dumb of the lot!
I think that meat selling one is from series 7.... the weakest series which also features a story that continues week by week, whereas previous seasons, each episode was an individual story.. but with a story arc in the background.
