Just been trying to create my own animated pic. Naturally it had to feature Conky! That punch cracks me up every single time.
Season 7 predictions.... hmmmm... well if there's no Cory and Trevor, then I think they'll introduce some new characters. At the end of season 6, everything was unusually happy, and no-one was in jail! I think the boys may have to join forces with Lahey to oppose a greater opponent from outside the park... like perhaps the government wanting the land for business developments or something.
Just thought... where in the Trailer Park Boys time line does the film occur? I'm just presuming that it carries on from season 6, which means we don't even know what state the story is now in! Damn!!

That's a great pic Dave! It really cracks me up the way that Ricky (especially) always speaks directly to Conky even though it's clearly Bubbles talking (but then he is fucked in the head). On the time line query, when I was surfing around the TPB forum a few weeks back trying to find out about the film dvd release date, I remember somebody had posted a comment about the film explaining why Lahey's car was wrecked in season 6-so, I think it comes after 6. The boys joing forces with Lahey?? Intriguing, but nah I can't see it-be like Top Cat joining forces with Officer Dibble or summat-it's just WRONG. I think Lahey's encounter with the cocktail cherry towards the end of season six, set it up nicely for Lahey's rightful return to drunk, crazy bastard status. My own personal little sentimental fantasy is that Bubbles ends up owning the park-how great would that be? I also think Cyrus might make a come back. Hope there'll be more songs...'his name is Duke and he's a nice cat'

One word to descibe TPB - Genius! Saw a few eps on holiday - loved it. Don't know which series I was watching though - Conky helping Bubbles gain enough courage to go to hospital, Rick stealing BBQ's - help! Its absolute class, oh yeah, kidnapping the lead singer of Rush! I'm an absolute convert, best thing I've seen in ages. When the guy we were visiting put it on the dvd, I knew I'd heard of TPB before, but forgot it was on this forum.
Now I'm probably gonna get the words all wrong but..
Rick: I got a fuckin' truck stuck to my hand. Bubbles(?): The trailer is detachable Rick, you don't have to be burdened by that.
More quotes on this thread please!

That'll be season 4 there Rich!
It makes me very happy to see new people discovering 'the best sitcom ever' TM!
Hiding the BBQs in the lake! haha.... Funny you mentioned that episode, as I just changed the little bit of text under my pic to a line Bubbles utters in that episode! Another psychic moment (any luck with that train film yet Rich... you must have better contacts than I! hehe).
Rich, get your xmas money together and go and buy TPB Season 1 and 2 box set from HMV (think they are still only place selling it). Sadly they are the only ones available officially in the UK at the moment.

Hi Rich, you've got 5 more seasons, a pilot, a Xmas special and a movie to come-all great stuff! I think maybe we should post some quotes. Just to start the ball rolling, one from (sometimes overlooked) J-Roc 'You counting my gnome sayin's? You taking a gnome sayin census?'

So how do I get into this then?
My Uncle was talking about it the other day.. so I thought it was now time to show no more obnoxiousness towards the thread.

KezZ, on Youtube there used to be a condensed version of the classic Conky episode-think it was about 15/20 minutes. Not sure if it's still there-you might have to do a bit of searching. There are quite a few short clips-would recommend 'If I can't Smoke and Swear I'm Fucked.' Be forewarned that it can take a bit of time to get into TPB-in season one it took me until the 'Mrs Peterson's Dog' episode (4 I think), before getting completely hooked.
Saw Forest against Port Vale Boxing Day-splendid!

You're right Jill regarding how it takes a few episodes to get into TPBs. That's probably even more applicable to season one... until we get to the 'Mrs Peterson's Dog' episode, the episodes are more just character and situation set-up devices, and don't feature full-on stories throughout them... although Cyrus in the first episode is genius... "Fuck off! I've got work to do!"
Kezz, I would genuinely liken TPBs to how I would imagine a full on Shane Meadows comedy would be. It's very naturalistic, and features lots and lots of improvising. It's shot as though it's a documentary (the idea was to have a fake documentary like the real documentary 'Cops' shown in the US, but from the criminal's perspective). The one thing that is hard to convey to people unfamiliar with TPBs is how warm and good hearted it all is. Before I watched it properly, I just saw all the clips of swearing and guns going off and presumed it would be quite one-dimensional stuff. I was very wrong.

BLOODY HELL! WATCH THE WHOLE FIRST EPISODE ON GOOGLE VIDEO! video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8011521154587123716There are loads of whole episodes on there... but I really don't advise just jumping in and watching any old episode... there's quite alot of things that happen that are referred to in later episodes, and other stuff that won't make too much sense if you haven't seen previous episodes. Hope people enjoy it! Yea just watched the first episode thanks to Dave back in July From what I can gather.. It looks like a great Premise for a show.. & the characters look good too. Now Iv watched it. I actually think I caught a bit of an episode a few months back.. something about Ricky having to kiss the owner of the parks ass so he could do something for his daughter or something.. Anyway.. Yea I need to see more of it, but it does look Promising I'm not gonna lie..
