Freddy got fingered, the absolute pits, it makes me feel ill thinking about it.
Most pointless film ever, When a Stranger Calls (2006 remake) haven't seen the original and based on this never will! Awful.
Honourable mention goes to Eps 1 and 2 of Star Wars, nigh on unwatchable.
can't agree with Austin Powers all of them are hilarious in places.

Terminator 4
The idea of a terminator film without Arnie didn't fill me with confidence about it even with Christian Bale in it. Came away pretty disappointed to be honest, cool special effects but no real wow moments, storyline felt disjointed and a CGI Arnie is not much of a substitute. i think it might have been a bit better had Bale took the Marcus Wright part as originally planned. Have to say I know that the third gets a lot of stick but I enojyed it far more than this even if it was a thinly veiled remake of number 2. On the whole humourless and a bit dull for the most part. I will never forget the awe I felt when coming out the cinema after watching T2, T4 meh..

The new Jason Lytle solo album (Yours Truly, The Commuter). For those who don't know he was the genius behind Grandaddy, and continues to be a genius. Simple compositions but interesting arrangements. Blimey didn't know about this will have to check it out 'Sophtware Slump' is definitely in my top three. Currently listening to 'In Ghost Colours' by Cut Copy, cracking album a real grower and a fun listen.

State of Play but not the movie but the 2003 bbc series, thought it was excellent, a real thoroughbred cast including quite a few who went on to star in Shameless. Paul Abott really is a fantastic writer definitely the successor to Jimmy Mcgovern's crown. Will have to check out the movie now albeit with no surprises, glad I watched the series first though as I can't see the movie being as good.

Clubbed Now id not heard of this and bought it on a whim cos the cover looked pretty good and also cos i like some of these bouncer/meathead/hooligan types, Rise Of The FootSoldier, Cass, that type of thing. Man i was impressed from the get go, great ska and funk soundtrack, decent story, Colin Salmon is probably the best know face in it, but i gotta say Mel Raido who plays the films protagonist smashes it, i thought he was terrific. Reminded me of Morell a bit from ARFRB the way he pronounced certain things etc. The film is loosely based i think on the novel Watch my Back by Coventry bouncer and author Geoff thompson. Now ive not seen this kid in it before in anything else but im pretty sure he will be going on to bigger and better things Watched this recently and have to say its the best Norman Wisdom film he never made. Seriously I did like it but the main character was a dead ringer and the storyline in many ways was very Wisdom-like. Saw 'Before the devil knows your dead' the other night liked it a lot, PSH was great as always and the more I see of Ethan Hawke the more I like. Good little 'quicksand' plot and the great Albert Finney to boot.

I for one wouldn't mind seeing a Russell brand update!
He just makes me laugh, love Rik Mayall but the film was pretty kack (though my kids love it) it might be worth a look the originals not exactly Citizen Kane.

Turned my brain off tonight and watched 'Push' and 'Fast and Furious'.
'Push' bored me to death was hoping for a reasonable update of the old Kirk douglas movie 'The Fury' which I haven't seen in years but sadly it was not to be. Only positive point is Dakota Fanning (she's an adult in a child's body) she should do a Big/17 again type movie!
'Fast and Furious' I have to secretly admit to quite enjoying the first one though the other two were complete poo. I actually quite enjoyed it (sorry Dave) it fit quite nicely with the first one and didn't seem to masturbate over all the fancy cars and was pretty exciting in places. Don't make another one though!

Saw it last night, has to be the most insane 'mainstream' movie I can remember in ages, i thought the first was a fairly straight forward action film but I'm gonna have another look after seeing this. I loved the attitude in this one, the 'if we think its funny its in it!' vibe. I can imagine there gonna be a few bewildered action fans though. Loved the bad guy gossing in Chev's chest at the start!

Total Recall. Guilty pleasure or damn good film? I agree good film, love all Arnie's movies but this is probably his best after the terminator movies. My guilty pleasures that i watch quite frequently are Sly's Nighthawks 1981 (love the end) and Rutger Hauer in Blind Fury 1989 as a blind samurai. I don't know how many times I've seen them pair.

I watched 'felon' with Stephen Dorff and Val Kilmer the other day, I wasn't expecting much inspite of reasonable reviews. Thoroughly enjoyed it, really good authentic feeling prison movie with a masterful performance from Val Kilmer, Dorff was great in it too and Harld Perrineau from Lost. I'm really surprised it was an STV really good movie. Would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the genre. Also saw the 1994 remake of 'The Getaway' I can hardly remember the original but this was a lot better than I expected, always thought Roger Donaldson was a good director despite a few dodgy movies (cocktail!) in his repertoire. Good brainless fun.

Ok after years of owning different drag drop mp3 players I've finally succumbed to getting an ipod and its great. It's the 8gb one so once you've popped a few vids on etc theres not a huge amount for mp3's (or is there?). I stumbled on an app called 'Simplfy Media' for it (costs £2.39) that allows you to stream all your music from your computers hard drive. Hey Presto an extra 20 gig of music (in my case) as long as you are near a wifi point. Didn't expect it to work well but it works great and apparently works with a 3g or an edge connection too. Hope this is useful to someone its a must app if your struggling for space! Oooh and will play all your wma files too!

Decapitation by grandma's old sideboard in 'High Tension' is one that sticks in my mind.
